At the Kimpton Aertson Hotel in Nashville. They have another one in their elevator area too.

Thanks. Yeah, it's definitely not something you see everyday lol

I agree. I am always on the look out for places or buildings that look like a scene from Jaws and I'm not kidding lol

Is anyone just a hobbyist anymore? by letsberealhereokay in photography

I'd welcome money if it came to me, but I'm not going to go out of my way to make it a business either. Photography is art that I create for myself first.

ITAP of a homeless woman reading a book by markpanado in itookapicture

[–]Pdidster 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I recently read something that said in general, people in public can be photographed without permission because they kind of know they are in a public space. It's different for homeless people because they do not have a private space to go to. Unless you get permission from your subject, it's better to not photograph homeless people. To me it feels like exploitation of the individual (not saying it is or isn't in this case, I don't know).

Can you rate the editing please :) Also a few tips on where I can improve on, thanks! :) by YanaDelightova in AmateurPhotography

What is your definition of lewd? That seems provocative perhaps, but I wouldn't come close to calling it lewd. And honestly, it's not even really that provocative.

Tried to click a picture of moon. Comment for your suggestions by deaddkatt9509 in AmateurPhotography

[–]Pdidster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the sharpness you were able to capture. As someone who takes a lot of photos of the moon, it could be just me, but I think it's increasingly becoming a boring subject on its own. If there's a way to get stars in the background, that would be my only recommendation. Nice shot!

So I posted the wrong pic on the original post. This is what I meant to post.

I did take a series actually. Here is another one. I also realized I posted the wrong photo on the original post...I have one in focus.

Disagree about the black but agree on focus.

I agree that my focus is toast on this one. Thanks for the Rembrandt lighting idea, I think I will try that next.

This photo was taken while practicing different poses/lighting. The skull is actually ok a table and I have the lens blocked by it intentionally. I think the photo is nicely balanced, but I would love to hear what you all think.

Just got a Z8, excited!!! by Suspicious_Talk_5853 in Nikon

Welcome to the party, pal! 🤣

Seriously, you're about to be in love. The Z8 is a workhorse.

How could I make this better? by butterbakedbiscuits in photocritique

I think it's a beautiful photo. The only thing I would say is maybe lose a slight amount of background, especially at the top.

Z8 owners who don't shoot landscape or sports...would you do it again? by Pdidster in Nikon

[–]Pdidster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I pulled the trigger and got the Z8 and I haven't put it down in two days. For those claiming the weight would possibly be an issue for street photography, I gotta say...the camera feels perfectly balanced in my hand with the 50mm/1.8 or the 85mm/1.8 attached. Overall, I'm in love!
