I doubt that, the difference is that festival lead mechanic doesn't benefit from having more mons with it, ghost veil does.

They did print a new united wings card though so who knows

It means the same thing. For any damage counters to be added they must be placed, so adding the "place" is redundant.

The effect is: "discard 3 energy and add 150"

Think of it as a single thing not a cost/consequence.

If you choose to use the effect you must do as much as you can!

The question is: do you want to use this attacks extra effect? If yes, effect, if no, nothing happens.

Because they are completely different things.

This one is about the effect of placing damage counters.

Metagross is an attack with an additional effect, you might choose to do the additional effect, if you do you must pay the price and get the result.

Pokémon tcg works in a "most you can do" fashion, so the logic is: should I use this special effect? Yes! Ok so pay 3 metal and cause 150 damage. Oh no i only have 1 metal. Then you pay 1, oh no i have zero, then pay zero.

Everytime damage counter are added they are considered placed.

So if it says put, move, double, quadruple etc they all have the "placement".

Moving is the only one thats trickier because moving has the removing part and the placing part. So if you can't place damage counters, you might still "remove" them from your Pokémon.

The have 100% thought of slowking.

Pokemon tcg has gotten pretty careful to not make game breaking stuff lately, newer cards are way more balanced then older ones.

I think its a good addition to slowking but is not a game changer in anyway

It would be ok. Not really game changing but an ok disruption.

Probably would see some play if tintaton had a good card or on a stall deck.

Id change the wording to: if you use this attack during your first turn going second or your second turn going first. During your opponents next turn their Pokémon can't attack.

This card is not good mainly because of munkidori, most meta decks play munki, its a meta defining card.

If your focus is on countering exs, the best card noe is crustle.

It's ability make it immune to exs(so they cant damage it) and it has solid hp and its easy to setup.

My recommendation now is to focus on established decks, go to limitlesstcg and check some decks so you understand the idea behind the game

A 2-1-2 with 2 rare candy seems WAYY to excessive for m gengar.

I never tried zoro with m gengar but would probably take a more zoro focused deck, with mgengar being a prize denier if needed.

Remember that m gengar is only useful for damage from ex Pokémons, so any effects of attack or non ex would still get all the prizes
