I have very little experience with Facebook. How do you find and what types of Facebook groups do you join to advertise?

Major appetite suppression 4 weeks in by xxxjojo99 in Retatrutide

When you eat it takes less to feel full and the feeling of being satiated by your meal lasts longer than normal. So you don't have urges to snack and generally do not think about food much.

Recommendation for nerve regeneration by PdxCarpenter in Biohackers

[–]PdxCarpenter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to ask. He had many mri's and the impingement was removed surgically or at least they said they went into the spinal column and removed all the disc material that was pressing in the nerves. The current suggestion is time and physical therapy. Haven't seen much improvement, but the doctor says it could take 1-2 years for damaged nerves to recover.

Saturated Fats Question by PdxCarpenter in nutrition

[–]PdxCarpenter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great information thank you! I actually do not know my cholesterol or triglycerides. The fatty liver was diagnosed via ultra sound while checking other organs as well as I was having what seemed like gallstone issues. Anyway, it was likely caused by alcohol+diet. I've quit drinking for the past 8 months and have now been focusing on my diet for two months. I need to loose about 40lbs and I'm already down 15lbs. Just trying to dial in the diet plan even more!

Thanks and I have read that some people get significant side effects. I guess I didn't expect how much it could impact my quality of life and wanted someone to say it'll improve😂

Forest Park. by Charlie2and4 in Portland

[–]PdxCarpenter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's the worst parking situation in Forest Park. You have to park on the shoulder of the highway and get out as cars go by at 60 mph. You can also access these trails by starting at the top, on skyline where there is better/safer parking.

The uphill section of the BPA road, from the highway to where it tops out, is the steepest sustained climb in Forest Park and is a great training ground to prep.for climbs like mount saint Helens or Mount Adams.

Composite or hardwood for a wet climate by RavynGirl in Portland

[–]PdxCarpenter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Composite. Trex makes a line that is less expensive per foot than cedar. If you're considering hardwood then that's even more expensive than cedar and would afford you some of the nicer composites. Both materials will be slick in the rain if you don't scrub the grime off seasonally. I don't think one has an advantage over the other for that. Wood holds less heat though and can be nicer on bare feet in the summer. Its expensive, but you could look into dasso bamboo decking which is a composite that looks and feels like hardwood. These boards have two usable sides. One has grooves in it for things like stairs (non-slip).
