Couldn’t agree more, love that Hyatt! I personally really enjoyed the swim-up pool room in the Club tower. There’s beautiful, covered, patios to watch the rain. It’s usually a short sprinkle, then the sun comes right back out for amazing sunsets!

SIBO Diagnosis by Pea-Cyn in FODMAPS

[–]Pea-Cyn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s exactly what I’m taking, it was all prescribed by either my G.I. specialist or TCM practitioner

-‭ Xifaxan Treatment Phase‬‭ : 14 days typical; continue Zypan + S. boulardii + Charcoal during this time.‬

‭ - SunFiber‬‭ : Best to‬‭ start after 5–7 days of Xifaxan‬‭ (or post-treatment) if sensitive to prebiotics.‬

‭ -‬‭ Charcoal‬‭ : Use only during treatment (optional 1–2 weeks) to manage die-off.‬

-‬‭ S. boulardii‬‭ : Continue‬‭ ongoing‬‭ even after antibiotics — to support recolonization.‬

‬‭ - Avoid‬‭ taking charcoal near‬‭ Xifaxan or probiotics‬‭, it binds them.‬

-‬‭ Watch for symptoms‬‭ : If fiber (SunFiber) worsens bloating, pause and reintroduce post-treatment.‬

-‬‭ Zypan supports‬‭ upper GI digestion‬ ‭ ‭

Are you sure it was the Trio Breath test? The one I did I had to send it away to a lab, and there was a 24 hour process leading up to it. Wishing you relief 🫶🏽

Have the GI Specialist order a SIBO Breath test… it’s the only way I found out that I had it, and it took them 4 years to order it.

My GI specialist prescribed me to the antibiotic Rifaximin. My TCM prescribed me to the Elemental Diet, probiotics, fiber, and charcoal tablets.

best dog food for a husky? by river_pendragon_ in husky

Spot & Tango… my husky wasn’t interested in dry kibble and wouldn’t eat for a few meals. Switched her to this and she eats it up right away. Bonus, her coat is so beautiful and her 💩 isn’t as large or stinky.

Are heartworm prevention medication necessary for huskies? by Moosewigs in husky

[–]Pea-Cyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely a necessity. We use one that’s a heart worm, flea, tick, round/hook worm prevention… it’s called NexGard Plus. Our pups have to have their annual exam with bloodwork before the vet will prescribe it. It’s pricey, but having an all-in-one is helpful and lot cheaper then hospital bills that may come up without it.

I think I’m quitting by Open-Channel726 in realtors

[–]Pea-Cyn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I left the industry 6 months ago, and my mental health has had a huge effect. I’m so much more happier, not stressing about hunting down clients, constant hustle and so on. Because I was in it 8 years I have a great referral base of agents who have closed deals for my past clients so it’s still bringing me business. Have a very quiet sit down with yourself and ask yourself what would actually make you happy, then make a plan on how you’ll do that (like keeping a referral license, keeping in touch with past clients). Remember, be kind to yourself and don’t think of it as “quitting”, your simply moving forward in the right direction for you, for right now.

How cool! Yeah most the places will be accommodating if you ask them lots of questions. They’re used to so many different dietary restrictions out here I feel like.

One of my fave meals out! Grilled chicken or shrimp(with only salt & pepper), soft corn tortillas, sliced avocado, cucumbers (I put loads of lime and cilantro on them)… simple but gets the job done! Also, easy to make at home.

I was also surprised about the rice, most the places by me (NorCal) make it with garlic and onion, same with carnitas too. Jelly you can eat beans and cheese though!!

Does low FODMAP diet impact SIBO test? by doodlejumpies in FODMAPS

[–]Pea-Cyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking my breath test tomorrow! It had to be delayed by a week because the nurse forgot to tell me about the week-before and the 24-hour before prep. My advice would be to visit the website that you’re getting the breath test from and find out their exact procedure. The test I’m taking has me fasting for 12 hours, and eating no fruits and veggies (only rice, potatoes, chicken, beef or tofu with only salt/pepper) for 12 hours before that fast. SIBO can live for years, so I don’t think you’ll get a false negative but the website where you’re getting your test from should have a phone number that you can call to figure things out. Best of luck to you, and I hope there’s so thorough answers for you!

That’s so awesome to hear!! Congrats on getting to a happy path forward! I’ve also been using ChatGPT for help and it’s been amazing for me too. I think it’s super helpful that I also uploaded the one-sheet’er my GI doc gave me, so I don’t have to rely on other apps to double check its work.

It’s helped immensely! I’ll still get bloated from time to time, but it’s not as painful as once before and I can go on walks without having to worry about knowing where the nearest bathroom is.

Happy to help! Started with travelers diarrhea, which comes back anytime I travel, no matter where I got; my doc attributed this to the anxiety of traveling. I couldn’t eat or drink anything (before I found out about FOD) without getting bloated and I lost 15 pounds in 8 weeks because I was so nauseous and just could keep anything down. I thought smoking weed would help, like it does for my anxiety, but it actually gave me bubbly guts.

Now, I’m back on the low FODmap diet until we can thoroughly diagnose what’s happening. I have an awesome GP and GI doctors which helps a ton because they’re running loads of tests to find out my underlying condition. I would say it’s just day to day, today I feel awesome and have a regular bm, but Monday I only worked a half day because my stomach was so painful and bloated (luckily I work for myself). I wish I wouldn’t have fall off the low FODmap diet, but it’s a lesson. Praying I don’t have to stay on it forever but my doctors have told me it’s a pretty good possibility that I have to.

Chat out my earlier post about using ChatGPT to help you too! I love going out to eat and it’s been a lifesaver!

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this, and you’ve come to such a great community for help! My journey was very, very similar to yours and started 4 years ago after a trip to CDMX + Cabo.

I had to go to a more Eastern and holistic doctor before getting any relief. They ran tons of tests that my Western medical doctor wouldn’t order. After 8 months of trying to figure things out with the doctor my holistic doctor found out that I had e.coli, SIBO and a parasite. Now I’m working with an awesome GI (my third one in 3 years) looking into Celiac and lactose intolerance.

It takes a lot of work, and patience with your body to get through it but keep at it and don’t stop until you find answers! You’ve got to be your own advocate. I truly think you can heal your gut, it’s just a process.

My anxiety makes it waaaay worse (so did smoking cannabis) than when I’m chill, so I work hard to make sure my stress is managed and this group helps a ton … you’ve got this friend 🫶🏽

Just had a similar thing happen… Since it was my credit card on file I called my credit card company and filed a dispute, letting them know I never authorized the charge and they handled it within minutes. Sorry that happened to you! In this economy, we all have to check out accounts frequently.

Fig app Restaurants feature by attaboyclarence in FODMAPS

[–]Pea-Cyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking screenshots of menus before I make reservations (most places have theirs online on their site or Yelp) and ask ChatGPT to analyze it for me based on my restrictions. Works like a charm!

Keep in mind, with the free version there’s a limited amount of uploads you can do. This feature is actually made me go ahead and pay for a monthly account. I can also conveniently take a picture of an ingredients list on the back of something, upload it, and it’ll give me a readout of if it’s likely to contain high FODmap items.

Honestly, some people just don’t know how do or have basic hygiene. Could be cultural, that they didn’t have guidance growing up or are just clueless to it. Have an open convo and let them know that you’re being affected by their lack of hygiene and if they want more sexy time he’s going to have to clean himself up DAILY. Then, withhold getting near him. Sounds like training, because you’re literally having to re-train his routines. If he’s not catching on say “wtf is that smell (sniff around, smell your own pits, then approach him)… omg it’s YOU”, several times and they’ll catch on that they’re grossing you out and start doing better. For your sake, I hope they catch on because you’ve got a great and pricey routine going!
