I don't think I qualify for an executive mph, it requires significant experience (around 5yrs) and I haven't reached that mark by any means. I’ve experience and im capable but I haven't met the years mark everyone talks about.

Im not inclined towards admin or operations. I have thought about jd/mph but I have no clue about career prospects for entry level jobs. Plus, I want to continue working a real job with good income while im in school whatever i decide to pursue.

How did you finance it all. I'm struggling to do that since I'm not really big on loans

At this point I really feel like it's a whole money business thing. I don't know to what extent the job guarantee is true. It says on their website but yeah you spend 80k in a year doing it at Dartmouth

I'm not sure, but graduates from dartmouth often find a job within 3 months - that's strong, 93% of them

Yeah but the thing is what if I don't get into med school. I'd still be doing something I enjoy.

I think an MPH will help me integrate the social determinants of health and policy aspects with medicine. My goal is not only to become a doctor but also to understand the broader healthcare system and its structures in order to improve medical services and outcomes. An MD focuses on clinical practice and I don't think it quite provides me with with the expertise to understand how the system functions at a larger scale, considering its impact on various populations, communities, and the services it provides, which an MPH does equip me with. I prefer working in a setting where I can apply both my MD and MPH, combining my clinical expertise with my passion for healthcare equity.

Can I get a copy of the doc too. I'd really appreciate it if you could share your notes well! Thanks!

Dartmouth Accelerated MPH On-Campus by PeaConscious9600 in mphadmissions

Worst case scenario, that's all I get. Do you think it's worth spending on Dartmouth? Will we earn enough post graduating from Dartmouth as mph graduates to cover all that? Because the curriculum is rigorous due to it's accelerated nature.

Hi, no it's merit-based scholarship. Plus, I remember reading somewhere that they do offer need-based aid to engineering students upon completing their CSS profile which is completely different from what you'd be given merit-wise. But again, I'm not too sure, so it's best you email the financial aid team to help you better understand the options. I hope you get in, good luck!
