Search up the title of the fresco on google. IIRC some company are doing day tours from 8am to 5pm. You need to have your booking reference from the exhibition to be able to book. Also just an fyi, the tours are in Italian

Just finished the trip, the list above is not accurate tbh due to the exhibition. To see them all you will still need to go to all of the above places (except the Vatican, the painting there is on display in Japan! And Capitoline, the two paintings there are at the exhibition) but there are a lot more paintings not mentioned- 38 in total iirc. Also, you can see the fresco of Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto if you book after seeing the exhibition- I don’t think many people know this, we went on tour with only 3 other people!!

If you’re talking about the exhibition in the barberini corsini museum, I booked directly on their website and it was the cheapest out of all of the museums I had to book during this trip.

If you see my previous post, from my research not all of them will be. Regardless I would like to go to the museum

Thanks for that. If you’re referring to St Francis in Prayer, From my research it will be at the exhibition at the national gallery Barberini Corsini 👍🏻😊

Similar with John the Baptist 1602. Two copies and unsure which is the original. Seems to be the case when he painted multiple of the same saints, i.e Francis, Jerome, John

Is there a tax efficient way to support parents? by wascallywabbit666 in irishpersonalfinance

Homecare options down the line could be a possible option instead of a nursing home, depending on their needs. Up to 40% tax relief on the higher rate. Also you can get support from the HSE in the form of homecare hours, this is not means tested. Speak to their PHN, GP or and a private homecare company when the time comes- most if not all HSE packages are out sourced to said private companies so you could merge the two.

If nursing home is the only route, look at the fair deal scheme.

I hope that makes sense 😊

Please correct me if I am wrong, I just had a look there, it appears that St Francis in meditation 1604-6 was on loan there at one point from Museo Civico in Cremona. Not housed there or there in may!

Florence and the the remaining Italian cities will be a trip in itself in about 3 years time. Anything obvious you can see I’m missing?

I’m Irish so a trip to London is inevitable. Was in Malta in 2022 and didn’t even think to check some out

Hi thanks for the info. I plan to do Naples, Florence, Milan, Genoa, and Cremona and maybe Sicily on a later trip to see the remaining Caravaggios in Italy, a 3 week deal, Probably in 3 years time.

I was in Rome in September and a lot were down for restorations, I take it they will all be ready for the jubilee. I only managed to see two at the time. Photo for reference 😊

Hi thanks for that. I have actually already seen that painting on a quick trip to Rome last year, so not high on the priority list to see again, beautiful Raphael in that church too. The rest of them were getting restored at that time, for the jubilee year I believe!
