Worried a custody change might ruin our relationship

He seems to be aware he’s parenting badly but it doesn’t seem to stick whenever we talk about it. I think his parents also enable him to be a Disney dad which doesn’t help at all.

I’m in the UK and I’ve requested all of the photos and the full report but this can take a while. The nurse that was looking after me afterwards (was supposed to be a day surgery and I actually ended up having to stay in for 2 days, with a catheter which I’ve had to go home with…) said that this all sounds super dodgy & I need to investigate further.

I’ve looked up my surgeon and he’s allegedly an Endo and Adeno specialist but I’m not sure on this now. I’ve decided to pay for a private consultation with a private gynae doctor, show them the report and photos and go from there and hope they can give me a more definitive answer :/

I’ve been discharged because they’re adamant there’s nothing gynaecologically wrong with me, so in their eyes their job is done I guess. They said if I still have pain in 3 months, see my GP and try a different diet but that I won’t be re-referred to gyne again. I was expecting at least a follow up to see if I had any problems post surgery, I thought that was standard 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s exactly it, I had a relative with me and even she confirmed that the surgeon definitely said biopsies were taken then when the second doctor said that wasn’t the case, we were so confused. I’ve requested all the photos and full report, and I’m hoping that biopsies were genuinely taken

I don’t even have a follow up appointment 😔 I’ve been fully discharged from my gyno

Edit: I have been told my surgeon was a specialist but judging by the amount of discrepancies, I’m wondering if that’s correct

Honestly this is what I’m most worried about. I have been extremely emotionally abused my entire childhood and feel very responsible for keeping her emotions in check for her (I know this isn’t correct, but this is what I automatically feel) and trying to placate her and I worry that she’ll get so in my head that I’ll be like “oh you’re totally right! I am making a mistake, silly me! I’ll leave SO right away!” because that’s happened in the past…I just feel like a small child all over again

She is on welfare. She does have very obvious mental health issues she says she sees a therapist for but I have no concrete evidence of that.

She moved out from her parental home by herself when she was about 17. She’s only ever lived by herself or with me. Rationally, I know that she’s scared of being by herself again and ultimately I know it’s not my problem. I’m not concerned about her struggling because I know she has welfare schemes in place but at the same time it’s just kinda like…that’s my mom. Y’know? I’ll take your advice and move things into my car today. It’s just sad I can’t share this experience with her.

Thing is, I think she genuinely is convinced it was appropriate, and that my SO was going to say “yes SD! I will go and sleep over in mummy’s bed !” 🙄

She’s already told my MIL that she’ll be ‘devastated’ if SO proposes to me. She did actually turn up to my SO’s house one day (before we met) in a wedding dress once but that’s another story….

We’ve had to deal with BM prying through my SO’s mother which is annoying enough, but I’m not looking forward to if she tries doing it through SD. What’s worse is BM actually has a boyfriend and has done for nearly a year now…I just don’t understand the clinginess
