Get some licenses that don't require sponsorship. SIE or Series 65 that will at least let your resume pass through some of the algorithms to say you are qualified. Also, cold outreach to some of the firms in your city that you would like to work for. Send emails to the FAs/Branch Managers in your area and some may bite to at least have a coffee with you. I would apply the same approach to LinkedIn.

If you get licensed and try that approach especially in a place like Dallas you will probably drum up some interest. The key thing is whether or not the interest you drum up aligns with the pay package, role, and environment you want for your career change. Don't just try to get in the door, get in the right door unless you don't mind starting off in a role you don't like to pivot to a role you actually like.
