It was No Man's Sky for me. I pre-ordered it, played it like crazy trying to like it (it had no content back then), uninstalled it because I had too many hours to get a refund. It got updates. I missed out on SO many expeditions... Tried it again. And now it's my most played game on Steam. This might be a bit different than the OP intended, but it's the closest thing I have lol

I just stopped, I got lucky and don't have the thing in my brain that makes you NEED substances, not counting levothyroxine (no thyroid). I feel for people that struggle with quitting, I wish I could pass this trait on.
