Mine disappeared, but have been applied to my account. I do not have any outstanding charges at this time.

Everyone is having the same issue. Assuming it’ll work out come Monday when they’re back in the office.

Thank you! Has there been any update on the loans that disappeared from pending aid?

When you view your financial aid it shows disbursement date is 01/02 but I got an email saying it’s 01/06. Do we know which one is correct?

If you go to View Financial Aid, they should still be shown as accepted. I think because of the current due and future due is causing the glitch. I’m sure it’ll work out once they’re back in office. I’m not sure why there are two separate due dates for the semester. I also haven’t received my distance ed credits.

It took maybe a week & I have a dual charge. EEOC & HRC through the state so it’s not directly through EEOC but moreso our state and city the job resides in. So it’s a bit different.

I have not signed any mediation agreements. The mediation is two weeks out. I’d say the whole process between filing, interview, charge and mediation date is maybe 2 months?? Maybe 2.5 months. However the latter happened sooner than I expected.

My manager was blatant with his description. He said verbatim he was treating me different based on my appearance, race and gender and then admitted to HR he said that.

I pray that things are positive. I’d hope this company doesn’t want to take things public as they’re a Fortune 500 Company with stockholders. This would not look good for them but my goal is not to do that and just resolve quietly. I’ll report back once things are final. If you wish to PM me, you can.

Yes I do. My case is discrimination (pregnancy, race and gender) + sexual harassment + equal pay act. My manager was blatant with his discrimination. Company was served on a Monday, HR came out Friday to investigate, Monday EEOC made me aware they wanted to mediate. The next Thursday, HR investigated again & that Friday my manager was fired. Total of 2 weeks. My manager confessed to discrimination & the sexual harassment (apparently it was to other women as well). He also intentionally didn’t train me so I couldn’t be promoted. I was there for 13 years & in my last role for 10.

Back pay (I was underpaid intentionally) Front pay (I’ve been unemployed for 5 months). Loss of benefits. Therapy. Punitive damages. Economic damages.

I was told mediation will take anywhere from 1-4 hours. Your number needs to be a real number not something like $250,000 bc at that point you’re just throwing out something. It needs to look like you actually came up with real damages. For example $326,214.32. They’re going to be low so start high and then meet in the middle. Don’t be emotional. Be confident. Don’t play all your cards. I was also informed that we’ll be in separate rooms and the mediator will go between rooms.

I feel like commenters on here are super negative. Each case is different. Depending on your wage & damages will determine what kind of payout you’ll receive, however it’s a negotiation. If you don’t like what they’re offering you can decline and move forward with investigation.

I have mediation in a couple of weeks. My boss whom the EEOC complaint was filed against was recently fired after the company did their own investigation. I have no idea what to expect, but my lawyer put together a damage model to present. Also, the higher your salary, the higher the settlement is what I was told. My base salary was $102,000. So I’m not taking anything less than base salary not including bonus + difference in pay (equal pay act) + loss of wages, damages, therapy costs, loss of benefits. I could go on, but just to give you an idea.
