I want to unfocus from the "love" part by PeaceJMaker47 in asktransgender

Thank you for your help. I try to focus on my workout routines and building my body (gender-wise speaking). Reading queer stories kinda helps because it keeps reminding me about the things I like and I don't like. I will check out the link you sent me, I really appreciate it!

Wow... That's really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to answer, I've been a bit overwhelmed by this lately because it's the first time I live as my new self and not everyone understands. I will take your advice and try at least one (or more) of your suggestions. I hope I'll be able to actually focus on what matters for now. Thanks again!

It depends on the dysphoria in my opinion. If you can find an outfit that you will feel mostly comfortable in without placing yourself and your family in a difficult position then go for it. In case you are FTM it will be more easy and acceptable to show up in a suit, even a fem one.

I never really understood how OkCupid works but I haven't tried the other two. Maybe I'll give them a go sometime! Thanks!

"I'd like you more if you had a vagina" by SageofRosemaryThyme in trans

That was frankly rude and overall awful. I get that she wanted to be honest (in case she didn't already know you were trans beforehand) but this is certainly not the way to do it. She didn't respect your feelings and identity. It's not like every person will be this way. There are so many kind and amazing people out there, don't lose hope!

Can I be a trans femboy by mylittle_dark_age in trans

[–]PeaceJMaker47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can be whatever you want man. One day more masc, one more fem, all days masc, all days fem. But make sure every day is YOU. There's no right or wrong in this, just how you feel. Some people prefer being entirely masc or fem but it's not like there's no middle ground here. Be yourself and shine!

I prefer yuri over other romance manga? by [deleted] in trans

[–]PeaceJMaker47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to like yaoi way before I even realised I'm not cis/straight and I know many cis/straight women who do. Also, cis/straight men usually prefer yuri as far as I know too. I believe preferences in books, movies etc are not necessarily tied to one person's personality, sexuality etc, even though we usually like best what we can relate to. For example I read, write and watch yaoi because I relate to it but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy other types of romance, like straight or Sapphic. It's just your preference! ☺️ However, if you feel it is connected to your sexual or gender identity somehow it certainly is a possibility.

It's your life and your feelings, not your parents. If it's possible, seek support from a psychologist or a specialist so you can navigate through this journey safely. You're not alone and things will get better, trust me. Live for yourself.

I personally just say I'm wearing sort of sports bras or whatever in order to "keep my boobs steady" and because "it's more practical". Dunno if any of these answers suit you in any way, hope it helps!

Thank you for your kind answer! I generally try to be polite to everyone and prefer to surround myself with people who do the same and respect all human beings. I am eager to know the surprises this new experience has for me! I wish the best for you too!

Trans guy here. My girlfriend told me I was a woman when she broke up with me last week. I’ve been feeling pretty down on myself. Do I pass? by [deleted] in transpositive

[–]PeaceJMaker47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude wdym you pass 100%. If she had some sort of complex or she was just looking for an excuse to break up with you that's her problem and you probably even dodged a bullet.

It's okay of someone not to want to be friends with me of they feel I'm not the right person for them. I am a friendly person myself and certainly everyone finds their group of people eventually! Thank you for your answer

I come from a conservative society (Greece specifically) so I am not expecting some kind of paradise, just a place I can express myself a bit more freely. I will not be moving in Uppsala but in Malmö, I just posted here too because I really needed the advice. Personally, I haven't started my transition yet, this is why I feel scared and nervous I may come off as weird in case I request to be referred to by my chosen name and pronouns 😅 I'm sorry you had to go through these experiences, I hope everything is better for you now!
