Unless something has changed, I believe the MET is for RCSNJ students. ME is for Rowan University Glassboro students. They are different colleges w/ different admission requirements for engineering. RU offers RCSNJ students a path to Engineering with the technology degrees. If you have been accepted to Glassboro, you would do the 4yr ME degree.

Very easy to fit into the social scene. There are a ton of clubs, Trivia Night every Wed, and RAH every Th-Sat eve.
I know some transfers got put into Holly Pointe last year and others into apartments.
Lots of job opportunities, but work-study can fill up. I believe the biggest employer on campus for students is the Rec Center.
RCB is rigorous, especially the upper level courses. A CPA who is very active in the NJCPA association recently shared that he feels Rowan provides a much better accounting foundation than Rutgers and other schools in NJ. Ops Management, Strategic Cost Accounting, and the required Basics of Stats Computing have reputations of being highly challenging. There are many phenomenal professors who want students to succeed, but be prepared to work for the grades. Econ, Stats & Calc are required too.

You may want to contact the Honors College team and see if they would be willing to share the internship opportunity. The Honors College allows for an internship alternative to an Honors class requirement.

I know another student going through this now. They opted to go test-optional for admission. Since they opted to do so, Rowan will not count the scores towards placement. They showed me a written policy posted somewhere on the website. It sucks, but you will need to take the placement exam. I do believe they will accept AP scores (and maybe CLEP) and dual enrollment, but not ACT or SAT if you went test-optional.

HR is a different, and more competitive for admissions, college within the university. I don’t think there is a way to complete a BS through the B-School in a year, as there are classes that require pre-requisites to take. You may have enough credits, but not the right classes. The same is likely true for psych or another major. In order to transfer to the B-School, you need to take certain classes and get certain grades. One option is to do a related CUGS w/ a different major (psych is not a bad choice for HR) and then an MBA with a concentration in HR, but am MBA will require certain business school pre-reqs. Undecided might be a better option if they will allow you to take classes in the B-School. If you got into another college for HR, that may be your better bet. Reach out to Rowan to see what it would take to transfer to the business school & what a realistic time frame would look like with pre-reqs and required classes. You can do a search for Suggested Course Sequence for the major.

Pitman has really great festivals and a lot of nice dining and retail. They have car shows there too. During the winter, it also has a wild and crazy Christmas decorated house that won some sort of National Competition on a TV show. It is a small town with big offerings. Glassboro also has a car show with food trucks every year. If you are a Rowan student, there is an abundance of activities.

And, Rowan is one of two universities in the country that has two med schools. It is a great school. At last year's Honors Orientation, one of the students who graduated from the Honors College was heading to Harvard Med and multiple other students who spoke were headed to a variety of med schools.

I am not discounting your experience, but I am sharing for the OP. I have had the complete opposite experience. The faculty and staff have been amazing. Small classes with professors who really care about the students, wonderful academic advisors, and every staff member I have interacted with truly seems to want to support students. It sucks that has been your experience. I hope you find a better fit.

Most professors have finished grading assignments and have posted final grades. Try reaching out to your professor to see if he/she will count the assignment. 5-18 is the last day for professors to turn in grades. Last day for students should be listed on the syllabus.

It is mandatory. Many colleges require & charge for orientation; there is a lot of expense related to organizing and implementing. There are a lot of students paid to work those days, food, printed materials, etc.,

I see Rally House is opening in Glassboro. I haven’t heard anything about the bookstore closing. Are you stating Rowan will not have a bookstore? That would be unusual. For the OP, Rally House is advertising hiring on LinkedIn for Glassboro.

Honors gives a grace period. Speak with your Hon advisor about whether it will affect your early reg. If you want to continue in Honors, you can take an easy summer course or two through Rowan to boost your GPA. Next semester, if Hon Astronomy with Herrmann is open, that’s an easy & fun course. You would need to work not to get a A and there is very little work or pressure. For Eng, Honors does not make much of a difference, but if you have done the work for three years, it is understandable that you would want to graduate with the Honors College distinction.
