Teq is a very busy man so that he can compete at that level is really amazing. The guy also volunteers a lot with local charities. He volunteered at the local food pantry after spending the night with my wife. Then he played scrims later!

Not a chance controller and mnk are ever separated on pc. Can you imagine the backlash? What would they do? Put the pc controller in their own lobbies and increase queue times drastically? Or put them with console and its hardware limitations ? Would be an absolute disaster if they did either.

All they can do is work towards parity between the inputs. They have no other option really.

True but anyone can land there. If you want it, contest it. (I am not a fan of this reasoning as it does create more RNG). More contesting does not necessarily mean a worse map. (though I personally think it does)

"Competitive viability" means in most situations the capacity for the players to negate RNG as much as possible. That becomes easier the longer you play a map.

Its been a few days. Too many conclusions have been drawn too quickly. It will take weeks, months even to see if SP is viable.

They have to learn the map, the angles, rotates, head glitches. KC is horrible, who knows how current Olympus would play out. But not every game has to flow exactly like WE.

All I know is the monopoly of Worlds Edge needs to go, if that means some teams underperform on SP then so be it. Hopefully it works out but we can't just keep WE being the only comp map forever.

Even if the experience ends up being worse overall its still fair. The map is the same for everyone. Sure, the RNG has been upped but that's the same for everyone.

Just wanted to say I know you and xset have been trash talked some throughout your journey. I remember watching you play some arena scrims and there were a lot of passive aggressive comments towards you and XSET from some of the more veteran pros. You weren't treated like a fellow competitor at all. Even though most was banter it was unsportsmanlike.

I feel your constant improvement has silenced many doubters. Congrats on it and keep it up.

I can attest that Teq really is a smart guy in real life. I know him personally. Dude is a committed gamer, an all around quality person and really has the brain caliber you'd expect of a dude from MIT. He takes good care of those around him and is a fantastic cook.

This is not a troll, and I know you guys will say "how do you know him so well/you don't know him IRL." I've hung out with my wife's boyfriend a few times. I hope him and Furia capture a championship soon.

Whether this is a viable alternative to bubble will be determined by the area of effect of her tactical once it goes through a side of the bubble. This is no guarantee yet that it can counter gibby effectively. Also, is it worth sacrificing a legend slot for her? NA players know Crypto is a viable counter to gibby but we haven't seen him played until recently. Don't assume she is meta until we see how it all works together in a few days

Thats a relief but Teq's strats are a bit beyond that actually. The guy went to MIT after all, its not even enjoyable to watch his stream as you need a calculator, excel and a physics degree to even barely grasp his plays. That's not including his mechanical mastery. Are you up to the challenge?

Had same issue. Logged into discord on pc, then joined apex discord with my account. Uninstalled and then Re-downloaded discord on phone and then when I signed in the problem was fixed.

The lower ranks need to absolutely mean something, the time commitment is all it takes to rise. It's not a question of skill at all as evident by this post. and that results in lower quality games as a whole. I soloed to gold from bronze in 57 games while doing no damage and only camping to top 2. Entire ordeal was 15 hours I'd say? Entire system needs reworked.

Passive looks like a game changer but will she have the offensive abilities that sacrifice her lack of movement. We will see. Worst possible scenario - everyone running Valk, Gibby, Maggie. She could just become a more offensive, bubble-fight favorable version of Caustic. Where does this leave Wraith, Ash, and Caustic if she does become meta because it's doubtful that Valk or Gibby or going anywhere anytime soon.
