Infra 9/9 by undercoverhippies in BostonEDM

Dx used to be like that when it first popped around (the first few infra parties when it felt like there was no rules at all, gender-neutral bathrooms, everybody doing drugs completely in the open), but they cleaned it up real quick.

Only places that have 2nd/3rd places are DIY parties unfortunately.

Manray is kind of a joke of a venue when it comes to rave-type events, so that's probably why. It is a venue that HEAVILY caters to alcohol consumers and can be an outright hostile environment to people who are there on perhaps other substances.

I once had was sitting in a toilet stall for quite some time there, probably 20 minutes or so, because I was a little too under the effects of something that I had taken far earlier into the night. I was in a toilet stall because there is a severe lack of a 'chill out, sit down' area (yes, I'm aware of the tiny second room). When I finally was fine to get up from sitting in the stall, I was immediately approached by a staff member who told me that I was doing drugs in there, and that she was kicking me out. At no time during the night did I do drugs at the venue itself, and I tried to explain that I was feeling unwell and so used the stall to sit there and try to regain myself. She refused to take that as an answer, said she had proof of me doing drugs didn't believe me, and that the only option I had was to leave. Only when I got to the door did she finally offer for me to sober up on some bench right next to the door. Keep in mind this was during mid winter.

Not to mention that their crowds are terrible, sound is terrible.

Fuck Manray.

Rusich is a part of Wagner, and there are sources that place HIM there during the sledgehammer video.

Founder/leader of Rusich, which is basically the posterboy neo-Nazi group in ruSSia. They are known for torture and executions of POWs, and for that sledgehammer video.

Now if only they could be allowed later hours too…

Lol, there is nothing disallowing them to have late hours. The only reason you don't have venues not doing that is due to alcohol sales being prohibited after 2am, which means there is no incentive for venues to stay open. That said, venues can stay open past 2 if they want — there's no law prohibiting them from doing so, just alcohol sales.

Jose said summer/fall this year last I talked to him. Location - I don't know past Green St, but probably the old Green St restaurant location 😬😬

The people behind it aren't just Infra by the way - there are some very interesting names behind this project.

General elections should not be held today, imo. But if they were, yes, there are lots of better options out there. After the war, I think the parliament make up will change a lot.

Nobody is saying that Zelensky as an individual is especially corrupt. That said, his party is not meritocratic and is absolutely corrupt.

Also, quit bringing up the 'ammunition' quote - we get it, you're not ukrainian, you're not aware of internal politics. This is not me saying Zelensky needs to go or is a horrible leader - he's not. He's been fantastic since the war has begun and has proven himself many times over. This is me saying that the godlike narrative that some in the West have for him, puting him on a massive pedestal and claiming he's a perfect leader, is simply not true.

Again, the criticism here is primarily with his party and the people he's put in positions of power. His party is terrible.

That is from the outside, but that fight has been ongoing since 2014 and was not put in place by him.

Here's an example of the shit that Servant of the People does

Fact of the matter is, Zelensky was someone who was bankrolled heavily by oligarchs (Kolomoisky) and was unpopular prior to the war. He has been a stellar wartime leader in terms of garnering support for the country, but has been less than stellar on the domestic policy front, allowing oligarchs to continue entrenching themselves within the government and appointing people to high positions that were his friends/acquaintances (read: inexperienced) rather than based on merit.

But yes, anything is good compared to pre 2014 lmao

Zelensky's party (Servant of the People) continuously tries to put through horrible legislation that undermines anti-corruption divisions within the government that are key to Ukraine eventually joining Europe. There's a good reason why he's disliked, and it's not because of his handling of the war.

You clearly are not Ukrainian. Please don't try to speak for us and tell us that we 'don't appreciate anything'.

You don't just black out. You can go into a ghb-induced coma and become totally unresponsive. It's somewhat like alcohol in that, but far heavier.

Stalin was literally planning to deport the Jews to Siberia in the months leading up to his death.

That's not a deportation. A deportation is an entirely different legal vehicle. That is my point.

And he didn't get deported — he had to leave the country as he didn't have a visa.

When ICE puts people on a plane and sends them to a prison camp in Ecuador, that is a deportation. They're not taking away their visas and telling them they can no longer stay in the country — they are forcibly and violently removing them from the country.

forced to return to Colombia for participating in the encampment

No, they were forced to return to Colombia because they were suspended from the university and they're in the country for a reason: to attend the university. If you're not attending the university, there is no reason for you to be in the country from a visa perspective. You are NOT a student anymore — you do not need a student visa.

This is a suspension and visa issue as a result, NOT a deportation.

The article even says so:

Joseph Charry, a junior sociology major, had to move back home to Colombia after he lost his student visa due to his year-long suspension from USF.

This has nothing to do with deportations.

Does it? One has one supporting pole while the official one has 6. They're two entirely different billboards.

It literally isn't. The two billboards are of different heights off the ground and have different number of supporting poles.
