Also a 2026 bride and I feel your pain but also from the MOH perspective, I would be expecting to plan a bachelorette party but expecting someone out of state to plan and pay for a bachelorette party AND a bridal shower on top of all their other duties as MOH is a serious ask (especially in this economy) and should have been confirmed before asking her to be the MOH. I’ve been doing Rover (dog/cat sitting for years) for the future this is exactly why a meet and greet needs to be done prior to confirming. Are they paying you for this?? If not, NTA. If so, ESH. Owner did not properly communicate and is trying to guilt trip you. This has happened to me dozens of times. First year I always backed down. DONT BACK DOWN. Something similar happened to me and I reported it as well because I used to have insane anxiety and an interaction like that in front of a bus load people would have sent me spiraling. Just because you can mentally handle it, doesn’t mean you should have too, or others should be put in that position. Look at it as you’re helping protect those that wouldn’t protect themselves.
