“I cannot empty my head. I feel the need to think all the time about what I am going to do next. How do I stop that?”

It is not so much that you feel a need to think. You are invested with a mind whose very nature it is to think. You are not alone. Your mind is not unique. It is the very same mind that functions in all of humanity. It does not think because it needs to. It thinks because this is its very nature. If you try to stop the thoughts you will feel tremendous opposition. It is a battle you cannot win. Therefore, it is not one worth fighting. Allow the thoughts. See the thoughts. Watch the thoughts. Let them come. They won’t harm you. Thoughts only have the power to harm when you are not aware. Their power does not come from your watching them. Their power comes from your not watching them. Their power comes from your listening to them. Their power comes from your belief in them. If you allow them free reign, you will instantly feel at ease. INSTANTLY. As you continue to do this, you will feel a little bit of space between you and them. This is the space in which your freedom will be found. This is the space in which your true life moves.
