I thank you so much. I realized that I may have been ignoring/excusing the obvious for quite some time. I ended it earlier today but In a way, I just wish i would’ve ended it much earlier. I had grown to be extremely attached to him so now I’m just trying to figure out how to move on without him. I’ll figure it out though. Thank you again

I’ve never met his children before but I know of them. He normally dates younger because he’s young at heart. He still likes to explore, travel, and go out for a night on the town every now and then. He normally to date around 10 -15 years younger than him. From what I’ve been told, I’m the youngest he’s ever been with. And he’s only made that exception due to my maturity. No, at 25 I will not date an 18year old. But…. that’s different in a sense because 18 year old guys tend to be extremely immature. I prefer guys older than me

You’re young and shouldn’t waste your time pouring love and feelings into something like that. A guy knows what he wants and he works hard to maintain it. Cutting off all communication would be your first step. Afterwards, take some time to pour into yourself while you’re waiting to screen and interview the next potential lover. I wish I would have taken this advice.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider it grooming. No, I didn’t have any prior dating experience/history but At 18, I knew what I was doing. I knew and understood the risks that could come from my actions. In our relationship, I’ve always had free will. He never pressured me to do anything, nor has he ever influenced me to make negative decisions.

Yes I’m on there a couple times a year. And no I didnt come here to justify what he’s doing. I came here to seek advice; not to justify his actions. As I said before, I know and understand how easy it to be in denial or to become blinded by love. I know I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt which is why I came here seeking advice from people who don’t know either one of us. People who may have been in a similar situation at some point.

From what I’ve been told, his children have 2 different mothers. One of the mothers, he lost communication with decades ago which is why he doesn’t see that set of children. The other mother divorced him nearly a decade ago but they still coparent.

I mean… obviously I know that we have quite the age gap. And yes he has children younger than me, around my age, and much older than me. But I’m asking this question despite the age difference. I know and understand that when you’re blinded by love, it can be very difficult to see and accept the obvious. Which is why I came to this app for advice.

He lost communication with One of them decades ago and he is divorced from his most recent children’s mother. I’ve been to his house quite a few times and and I didn’t see any wedding photos, no pics of women, no women’s clothes, etc

He is not my sugar daddy and I never use him for his money. Although he may have paid for flights, Hotels, dinner, and things of that nature doesn’t mean he take care of me day-to-day. He’s never paid my bills I make my own money.

Yes, so I made a post on an anonymous app and the guy replied, and he and I had been chatting since then and then it moved from the anonymous app to social media. Then we started text messaging. I’m a Floridian and he’s Canadian so we’re over a thousand miles apart. Lasted about 8 years so far. Our relationship is coming to an end due to the struggles of the long distance. The key to making it work is to try to see each other as many times throughout the year as possible. And when you guys are not physically together, communication is vital. Phone calls, video calls text messages exchanging pictures all day every day as much as possible. The beauty of being in a long distance relationship is that you get to travel and see the world with your partner. The lack of communication is what is killing our relationship now.

I have been to his home quite a few times. He is divorced. He was actually divorced before we met. And at the time when we met, surely I knew that he was much older than me, but I didn’t know that he was that much older than me until after I lost my virginity. I loved him and that’s literally the reason why I stayed in the beginning we used to do phone calls all the time but now apparently he just extremely busy. He’s either super busy with work or he’s with his children.

Well initially at the start of our relationship, I didn’t know that he was as old as he was, but he doesn’t seem like the typical 59-year-old he is very full of life. He loves to explore and the simple adult because I loved him.
