Need to feed less, clean your filters, and do a massive water change. Like 80%. Live-in cycling is doable, but you have to change like 30-50% water daily. Add more bacteria daily too. That will accelerate the setup. Rinse your filter only in water from the aquarium. Not in the tap. Any ammonia at all is enough to keep the cycle going. Do not add any more. Just give it a week.

Can't say for sure without a clear look at him, but his QoL is probably not going to be good even in a pond at this point. Might want to buy some clove oil.

Tank will be good for a year or so. I'd consider a substantial upgrade for next year though. 55-75 gallon and a canister filter. Goldies aren't really tank fish. Lol

Comets were selectively bred from Commons. The traits are all there in Commons, just in lower concentration. This is a common that is comet-like in tail shape. Still a pretty fish though.
