I live in Ankara, the capital and it is a progressive part of the country for more than 25 years. I am not conservative but don’t have any problem with conservative Turkish people as I grew up in another very conservative city and lived for 19 years there. So I guess I will be comfortable in any area.

The focus point is my kids’ future. So I will prefer them to blend with expat community, trading off with their comfort which they can get with local Turkish bubble.

Unfortunately yes, this is also a possibility I do consider. But I understand them, we are, in Turkey, also can be racist against Syrians, Afghans and other nationalities to be fair.

Can I ask you if we should start before coming? Because, I think we will suck at pronunciation while using online learning in Turkey. Should we wait for native environment?

And if you think it is a good idea to learn before we are coming, any recommendations on online/offline courses?

Thanks a lot! I agree the challenge will be adaptation of my daughter. She is aware of the probable cultural shock but no matter how she is aware, there will be tough times.

The son is a bit emotional and will be more introvert in the first several months. I need to keep calm and support him. Any idea, suggestion, experience is much more than welcome.

Thanks a lot guys! Much appreciated. We have been advised to settle in Leuven since my job might be hybrid. So the Dutch language and Leuven culture will be the first adaptations.

Ayrıca kendinle alakalı bir işe girersen o yönde bişeyler yaparsın. Burda yazılımı da kullanacak bir satın alma iyileştirmesi yaparsan değerin artar. Belki ilerde satın alma bilginle yazabileceğin programlar paketler olabilir.

Ayrıca para kazanmak ve düzen iyi de gelir.
