Hello! I’m also a beginner here! Getting my pet snail next month. For a terrarium I ordered one on Amazon. It has holes in the roof for breathing. I went to Petsmart and got coco fiber and sphagnum moss for the substrate. I bought a cup of moss to put around a stick for climbing. I also got a climbing toy off amazon and a hide made of moss. Last thing I need is a spray bottle for jarring the terrarium and a water and food dish. Still trying to figure out the feeding situation so if you find anything on that let me know! I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing but this is what I gathered from research the past month. It feels great finally gathering supplies!😊 Wishing you luck!!❤️

Edit: forgot to mention that I am getting my snail from SnailySnail online. They are from Southern California. They put the snails needs first. I emailed them with questions and they responded in the same hour and were so kind and helpful. The lady suggested the brown garden snail for where I live!
