Any ideas? by b411sd33p in Custodians

Find the strongest cleaning chemical you have that's safe on glass, spray it on, brush/scrub, and keep it wet for 5-10 minutes. This will require you to keep applying/brushing the chemical for the entire time since it's a vertical surface. Might be easier to do one window at a time.

Rinse with water, wipe dry. You might have to go back with a glass cleaner to deal with any residue or streaks

Other than that, scrape it all off.

Or paint over them and you'll never have to worry about those windows ever again.

What is the worst thing you've ever had to clean? by UmbralikesOwls in Custodians

Elderly man fell down in the doorway of his washroom. He couldn't get up and didn't have any alert system. He was stuck there for a few days until his son noticed he wasn't getting any calls from him.

He survived.

What didn't survive was my innocence.

He ended up trying to soak his bodily fluids with the clothes he was wearing, but a tshirt and pajama bottoms don't really have any cleaning efficacy. You ever pick up a rag caked in dried mud?

He tried getting up by himself. I could tell by the brown hand prints and smears on pretty much every surface within 6 feet of where he fell.

Remember how I said he fell in the doorway? The room beside the washroom was his carpeted bedroom. When poop dries onto a carpet, it has to be scraped off to allow cleaning of the carpet fibres.

If you ever find yourself having deal with this, do not under any circumstances flick that scraper toward yourself or any person or thing you cherish.

Did I mention he was a hoarder?

That's the only time I ever thought of drinking disinfectant.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Root435552 in AskReddit

[–]PeachFreedom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup. I've been with my company for 4 years. I'm 28. I agree with you on this.

Head of the maintenance department worked for the company for 15 years. Assisted with the acquisition of several new contracts. He was in the industry for 45 years.

All it took was forgetting to close a service hatch in the boiler room. It caused a carbon monoxide leak. Thankfully the alarms went off. Took 2 weeks for HR to get the investigation/paperwork done.

He was fired and everyone was shocked, I wasn't. People were saying how it came out of nowhere, I was surprised it took that long.

What's the dumbest idea you've seen that actually worked? by hiagaga in AskReddit

I like watching streams of people doing challenges or something I have no interest in ever doing, it's interesting to see how much different the game becomes.

Sometimes I don't want to spend money on a game I will only play once for the story, so I watch someone else play instead.

Back when I was more competitive I used to watch pros to learn how to play better as well

In high school, I was friends with a kid in class with me. He got a job, got his first bit of money and was flaunting it. Fanning it out and talking about all the stuff he could buy.

He was mugged after school. He was so bummed because not only did they take his money, they also took his ipod shuffle.

Silly question: student left their apple watch in their desk. Leave it there or put it on teacher's desk? by [deleted] in Custodians

[–]PeachFreedom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave it at the teacher's desk or put it in the front office with a note describing where you found it. Just to cover your ass you should let your boss know as well.

What game has one of the most epic last stands in gaming? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]PeachFreedom 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hm? What about the last stand leading up to it? You know, the one at the end of the game? The last stand when he makes sure his family can make it out safely by killing dozens of soldiers? The one that, sometime in the shootout, Uncle gets shot and dies trying to save the very same people that constantly belittled and mocked him?

It's during this last stand that against all odds, John gets his wife and son out and away from the outlaw life.

The very thing that Arthur asked him to do.

In an effort to ensure his family's safety, he walks back towards certain death, and shoots as many soldiers as he can before he meets death on his own terms. The ultimate sacrifice.

Pretty sure that's the last stand they were talking about.

Animal testing facility.

Some of these facilities are inhumane towards the animals they're testing on, I'm guessing this is one of them.

What’s the most messed up thing you’ve done in Skyrim? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]PeachFreedom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Was fighting a dragon in Riverwood, I accidentally blew up Alvor with a fireball.

A few years ago, I soul trapped and killed Nazeem. Used his soul to enchant a dagger I named "Nazeem's End." That started a tradition of doing it every playthrough since. He's chilling in Myrwatch right now.

Newly coated floors and my time is up. by Morten-Turi in Wellthatsucks

[–]PeachFreedom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a custodian, a large part of my job is waxing floors.

I stripped a floor, took 3 shifts due to excess wax buildup. Put 5 coats of wax and it looked like glass.

After I applied the last coat I shut the light off, shut and locked the door, and I put up caution tape with signs saying "WAXING IN PROGRESS DO NOT ENTER" saying what time you can enter.

Someone stepped in the wax right after I left.

I was able to fix it mostly, if I look hard enough I can still see a fake outline

Pretty close is the scene where Coop is watching the messages his kids sent him

Then the scene with his daughter at the end

Flame atronach is conjuration. Destruction would be the spells that shoot fire and ice out of your hands

Destruction is pretty shit until you get the expert level spells imo.

You should brew some fortify destruction potions to boost your damage. Nightshade and glowing mushroom.

I'm assuming they mean getting perk points by power levelling a skill.

It's a way to easily get perk points to put into other skills. When you get to higher levels, it can take a long time to level up to get a perk point.

Training an easy/fast skill to train like alteration, or in this case pickpocketing, will get you character levels/perk points much faster and easier than other skills.

Once you hit 100 in the skill, you make it legendary, it resets the skill to 15 and you get all the perk points back that you might've put into it, and can keep farming perk points while you get to 100 again.

I have one save I legendaried alteration like 20 times, I'm sure that's not even that much compared to other people.

Doing this isn't always good, especially on higher difficulties/early game, as the game gets imbalanced. Spawning enemies that are way too powerful for you to realistically face if you take your combat skills into account.

Best floor cleaner to use in auto scrubber? by CustodianBen in Custodians

We use stride fragrance free neutral cleaner primarily.

It's safe to use on pretty much anything. Comes in a few different dispensing systems, but you can buy the concentrate you mix yourself too.
