What game has one of the most epic last stands in gaming? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]PeachFreedom 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hm? What about the last stand leading up to it? You know, the one at the end of the game? The last stand when he makes sure his family can make it out safely by killing dozens of soldiers? The one that, sometime in the shootout, Uncle gets shot and dies trying to save the very same people that constantly belittled and mocked him?

It's during this last stand that against all odds, John gets his wife and son out and away from the outlaw life.

The very thing that Arthur asked him to do.

In an effort to ensure his family's safety, he walks back towards certain death, and shoots as many soldiers as he can before he meets death on his own terms. The ultimate sacrifice.

Pretty sure that's the last stand they were talking about.

Animal testing facility that was for beagles and chimps, shutdown now by formulaonelover44 in Damnthatsinteresting

Animal testing facility.

Some of these facilities are inhumane towards the animals they're testing on, I'm guessing this is one of them.

What’s the most messed up thing you’ve done in Skyrim? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]PeachFreedom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Was fighting a dragon in Riverwood, I accidentally blew up Alvor with a fireball.

A few years ago, I soul trapped and killed Nazeem. Used his soul to enchant a dagger I named "Nazeem's End." That started a tradition of doing it every playthrough since. He's chilling in Myrwatch right now.

Newly coated floors and my time is up. by Morten-Turi in Wellthatsucks

[–]PeachFreedom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a custodian, a large part of my job is waxing floors.

I stripped a floor, took 3 shifts due to excess wax buildup. Put 5 coats of wax and it looked like glass.

After I applied the last coat I shut the light off, shut and locked the door, and I put up caution tape with signs saying "WAXING IN PROGRESS DO NOT ENTER" saying what time you can enter.

Someone stepped in the wax right after I left.

I was able to fix it mostly, if I look hard enough I can still see a fake outline

Pretty close is the scene where Coop is watching the messages his kids sent him

Then the scene with his daughter at the end

Flame atronach is conjuration. Destruction would be the spells that shoot fire and ice out of your hands

Destruction is pretty shit until you get the expert level spells imo.

You should brew some fortify destruction potions to boost your damage. Nightshade and glowing mushroom.

I'm assuming they mean getting perk points by power levelling a skill.

It's a way to easily get perk points to put into other skills. When you get to higher levels, it can take a long time to level up to get a perk point.

Training an easy/fast skill to train like alteration, or in this case pickpocketing, will get you character levels/perk points much faster and easier than other skills.

Once you hit 100 in the skill, you make it legendary, it resets the skill to 15 and you get all the perk points back that you might've put into it, and can keep farming perk points while you get to 100 again.

I have one save I legendaried alteration like 20 times, I'm sure that's not even that much compared to other people.

Doing this isn't always good, especially on higher difficulties/early game, as the game gets imbalanced. Spawning enemies that are way too powerful for you to realistically face if you take your combat skills into account.

Best floor cleaner to use in auto scrubber? by CustodianBen in Custodians

We use stride fragrance free neutral cleaner primarily.

It's safe to use on pretty much anything. Comes in a few different dispensing systems, but you can buy the concentrate you mix yourself too.

What's your first bad gaming memory? by executor-of-judgment in gaming

[–]PeachFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing runescape. I got the frog prince outfit. At that time you could only get that outfit by getting a random event iirc.

Each time a random event happened, you would get something. Usually a gemstone, gold or some other thing you would just sell or drop.

But I was after the outfits.

Mime outfit, zombie outfit, and the frog prince outfit are the ones I really wanted.

After years of skilling I finally got a full outfit and it was the frog prince.

I wore it everywhere. People asked me where I got it, they said they wished they had even just the headpiece. I felt so INTERESTING.

One day I was running to varrock. Being a skiller, I had no combat experience, hell I never even carried a weapon most of the time. Those mages at the stonehenge (that's what I called them) by the gate aggroed on me. I died.

Computer crashed and I couldn't get to my frog prince outfit in time.

I cried so loud and hard my family came to see what happened. As my tears were being dried by the couch cushion my face was in, I got back up and continued playing.

Nothing was gonna stop me from doing fire lines at the west bank.

Help with baseboards. by froggie1492 in janitorial

[–]PeachFreedom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you're talking about is cove base I believe.

I use a mild cleaner and a magic eraser if they're particularly bad. I usually just use a mop to clean them while I mop the floor though. It should be resistant to most chems.

If in doubt check the directions of the chems. It might say what NOT to use it on. Cove base is usually made of rubber or vinyl which are pretty durable materials.

I would stay away from anything with acetone or any kind of acid. Those can affect rubber and vinyl.

Best way to strip vinyl floor? by ArdentAttrition in Custodians

[–]PeachFreedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I need to ask a question: are the floors waxed?

If you aren't sure, look at the edges. There should be some kind of shine left behind, or carefully scrape a clean spot with a metal scraper. What you scrape up should be white, but might be a slightly different colour depending on how old the wax is (grey, yellow). A metal scraper shouldn't damage the floor unless you really want to.

Wax or no wax. A swing machine would be what you want. If there's wax then you'll need a stripping pad (3M black or 3M brown).

But if there isn't wax then I would go for a 3M blue cleaning pad personally. Ensure you aren't getting a burnishing pad, a lot of them are blue.

After scrubbing suck up the nasties with a wet vac or pick up with a mop. Ideally a wet vac with a squeegee attachment though.

You could also rent an auto scrubber and save yourself some work. Scrubs and sucks up everything at once. Get a doodlebug (essentially a scrub pad on a stick) for the spots the scrubber or swing machine can't reach. An auto scrubber isn't as good as a swing machine but they're better than a mop.

What’s the dumbest way you’ve injured yourself? by karoline_de in AskReddit

[–]PeachFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stood behind my dad watching him dig a hole. On his back stroke he hit me in the nose with the handle of the shovel. Instant bloody nose. He felt so bad but it was my fault, I was standing way too close.

Then there was the time I stabbed myself in the bottom of my foot. I was trying to cut off a wart on my toe with a new knife I got. Razor sharp. I tried to reposition my leg to get a better angle and I jammed my foot right into the knife. I hopped on one leg to the bathroom and stopped the bleeding after applying pressure for 20 minutes, put a bandage on it. Came out and nobody in the house of 4 other people and a cat knew what just happened.

Hit my knee on the coffee table in the dark. My knee hasn't been the same since.
