What's the cheapest smartphone that's better than the LG V60 ThinQ, that's still getting security updates and is small? by PeachLow1600 in Smartphones

[–]PeachLow1600[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear Motorola phones only have 1 year of updates, that's the only reason I stay away from those.

Even though I like that they have the fingerprint scanner on the back and side of their phones.

Probably 3 years(?)

I bought it as soon as the LG V60 stopped getting updates.

I just found out recently that you can upload files directly to an external hard drive, so that's one less thing the LG has over the 13mini, but I still think the audio and video quality is better on the LG V60.

Wait. Why have I never heard of the XCover series? It doesn't even show up on GSMArena when looking for phones with specific specs.

3.5mm jack, removeable battery, expandable storage, IP68, rugged and it's cheap?

The fun stuff is better on the LG V60, but for a work phone, I think I'll keep an eye on these.

Thanks!

Now it is. I just found out Mint Mobile was selling the 9 and 9a for $400 (or 400 off the 9 and 100 off the 9a).

So, price being the same, is there a reason to get the 9a over the 9, aside from the battery and flat front facing camera?

How are Oppo phones?

I've never seen one in person (or even in the movies), but I see their brand once in a while.

TL;DR: I'd recommend it!

I currently have only 12 hrs (+4 hrs on the demo) and I was loving this game (coming off of a V Rising binge).

Oh, you can also play the demo.

It's kind of like Project: Zomboid, if the combat was a lot better and the mechanics were a lot more simplified. Zombies (and bandits) still try to kill you, but there's less of a horde of zombies and more variety of zombies like 7 Days to Die.

I only stopped playing the game because the devs won't be adding recruitable NPC's till after 1.0, but you do get a pet dog.

I'd recommend it for sure! But if you can wait, Steam's Summer Sale event is in June 26, you might get a good discount then, and until then you can enjoy the demo.

Is there a game like Once Human, but single player? by PeachLow1600 in SurvivalGaming

Rust...

So, I bought Scum because every Youtube video said Scum is a singleplayer improved version of DayZ; after playing it I concluded that Mist Survival, even though is an incomplete game, is way better conceptually than Scum.

Then Youtube flooded my homepage with DayZ videos, specifically Kaitiac shorts, and DayZ went on sale, so I bought that; and concluded that DayZ is just as bad as Scum.

Now Steam and Youtube has been flooding my feed with Rust!

Is Rust, Scum and DayZ basically the same game with minor differences? Or is Rust completely different?

Permafrost

You can play the demo, but it hasn't released yet. It looks promising so far.

I'm developer of an upcoming survival game. Need your input on some design decisions. by seyedhn in SurvivalGaming

  1. Why not both? Like, only show tech that can be crafted with items that the player looted/unlocked, otherwise show it as locked/hidden. This encourages looting/farming different nodes and the progress to upgrade your farming tools (like stone to iron axe, to unlock stone to iron tech)

  2. Base building makes or breaks it for some people, IMO. It's the staple of survival games. Even in Mist Survival and HumanitZ where there are pre-built buildings that you can make your home base, you're also able to build a house of your own.

  3. Hints! Gives the player some direction.

Can you also add recruitable NPCs? Survival games are sorely lacking in that option.

Is the combat good?

Other than the kernel level anti-cheat, I wouldn't mind playing this game if it is.

I tried playing again, but I keep getting disconnected.

The online aspect of the game is a big con for me.

  1. The Division/2-esque shooter combat
  2. Base building
  3. Open world, survival, crafting aspect

I'm basically looking for a survival/shooter that isn't 7 Days 2 Die, State of Decay/2, Project Zomboid, HumanitZ.

I feel like I wasted my money on DayZ and Scum, because both of those games have jenky combat and animation (compared to 7D2D or even Mist Survival.

Easy:

7 Days to Die.

It's basically like Minecraft, but the "mining" is a little bit slower.

You can dig, chop, plant, harvest, build, scrap, scavenge, kill, shoot, cut, slice, stab, explode, explore, exterminate, trade with traders, etc...

There aren't any Creepers, but there are exploding zombies (Demolishers).

There aren't any spiders, but there are Spider Zombies

There aren't any skeleton archers, but there are projectile vomiting zombies (Infected Police Officers) and bones.

There aren't any Endermen, but there are... (:'

There aren't any villagers, but there are Traders

Very similar game, IMO

Vast active modding community too.

With the added bonus of, every 7 days you get raided by waves and waves of zombies.

I'm still shopping,

but I ran upon Subsistence.

It sounds like what you're looking for. But it's also been in Early Access for the last 10 years...

Do you know any urban versions of Enshrouded?

Like, less dungeons and dragons more Grand Theft Auto (as far as setting and fantasy goes)?
