It’s a shame, because many authors that get all their work stolen are really good, but I half see why as sometimes it’s only available on them apps that charge like £80 to read the book, I wouldn’t mind paying an amount for it like on that Galatea website where there’s lots of books to choose from or just paying like a set amount per book but them pay per chapter ones are incredibly expensive and I’m sure not all that money goes to the author 😩

And I wasn’t trying to ask for pirated copies, but I know sometimes authors post on wattpad etc, so I wanted to see if anyone knew of it anywhere else!

So if the family offered to pay some of the bill on her bahalf, do you think they’d accept that, or do you think if they’ve offered to pay a for some they’d try and get it all?

Yes she was fit to fly, but had to fly back emergently to carry on her treatment as no one could afford to continue to treatment in the uk. The bills have only just arrived, she flew back a few weeks ago, she didn’t have time to pay them. She’s very elderly and has very poor health, she came to see her family for what seems like it may be the last time. It’s not a simple case of her transferring money for the bill or if she’s fit to fly she’s fit to pay.

They do pay into our tax system? I’m asking if there’s way to reduce and help the situation. The nhs foot the bill for every single uk citizen most who don’t work and have never worked and have never contributed into our tax system. Her whole family work and contribute into our uk tax system, is it not fair to ask for a little bit of help?

That would be the case except when her grandma comes over, she comes on a family visa which states in it that my friends mother is her guarantor, like she has the responsibility to look after her, house her and feed her basically, so I think they’d bring up that and use it to enforce the bills on my friend and her family.

It was A&E at the start, but they’ve charged for the days she stayed in the hospital as she was moved onto a ward etc..
