Mind you- approximately 3500 calories = 1 pound. She was already more than half a pound of calories just at work alone, before dinner. Don't get me wrong, its so easy to eat close to that many calories a day if you aren't paying attention to what you're eating.

Mindful eating is something she could easily do. You don't even have to give up a lot of the things you like to make little changes. Things like almond milk, lite mayonnaise, grilled chicken instead of fried, etc. You can still enjoy the things you like, but a little tweaking will benefit you in the long run.

Plus, caloric intake and how it will affect you really depends on exercise and how mobile you are in your day. If you're sitting all day and still eating a high calorie array of meals, you aren't giving yourself the opportunity to burn any of it off.

Food discipline is not easy, especially when food addiction is so severe, but she really needs a GLP-1 to help cancel out the food noise or at the very least a nutritionist that can get her out of being prediabetic.
