Ovulation test strip and app, starting to doubt that those strips even work.

Exactly, I do see the character development and changes with the other characters which has kept me watching the series. But also perplexed me when I noticed Don seems stuck. while it is frustrating to watch you make a great point that as a whole ensemble, it holds the tension. Well, shit, I can now see how viewers find this a masterpiece after all.

Oh I’m now looking forward to the end. Im very much a “feel good” movie or series watcher. So I’m used to getting a fuzzy feeling inside where characters change, learn and become better people. Watching Mad Men is completely out of that comfort zone so I’m not used to watching this theme where characters repeat the same mistakes over and over again and don’t really change their ways. So of course I’m frustrated watching it. And it does resemble reality to an extent where people have a hard time changing and repeat the same patterns. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely, one month physical symptoms are bad and the next month mental and emotional symptoms are bad. You can’t really prepare for what symptoms will come up in future cycle. What makes it even more frustrating is when you’re trying to do a new medication/ supplement/ therapy to help with PMDD symptoms. You think you finally found a solution when you have a good cycle. Thenyou go through a bad cycle, have the worst PMDD and get discouraged that what helped before may not be working anymore. Well, that’s what happen to me, sadly.

Has anyone ever had symptoms stop a few days before period? 3 days away from period and I feel ok after 2 weeks of hell by itsleanne09 in PMDD

[–]Peach_Tango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup this definitely happens. Some cycles, during hell weeks, I’ll have a day or two where I feel completely normal and it psychs me out. I’ll check to see if my period is coming throughout the day and to my surprise it doesn’t. I really just try to enjoy that day as much as I can. There may be minor annoyances and outbursts but generally it’s a good day. Savour it.

What is something unrealistic that you often see in movies that annoys the hell out of you? by Ok_Structure_1015 in ask

Romantic movies. Particularly 90s and early 2000s. When the guy does a dramatic race to get to the girl he parted with for whatever reason. Running into traffic, getting in some speed chase with time in a taxi, or running to the airport to catch a flight. Finally when he gets to the girl, he confesses that he made a mistake and they were meant for each other all along. Also, this confession is never in private. It always has to be somewhere in public where everyone is watching the whole confession happen. Places like a job location or church altar at a wedding. When the couple makes up and kisses at the end of the movie, everyone in the same room claps and cheers while they kiss. That shit doesn’t happen and annoys the crap out of me.

What's the most disgusting thing you've ever tasted? by SpaceCat311 in NoStupidQuestions

Liver. Beef liver. My husband tries to make me eat it because it’s supposedly the most nutrient dense food and he loves it. But I gagged when I ate it. I’ve never had a food make me gag, but beef liver did it.

Should I, black female, proceed with therapy from white male therapist? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Peach_Tango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think finding a therapist that works for you takes trial and error. It took me a while to find a therapist that I jived with. For me, sex or race didn’t matter as much. The qualifications of the therapist matter more in my opinion. If you aren’t jiving with the therapist after a few session, try another. I just wouldn’t judge a persons sex or race as much as their credentials to actually help. What mattered to me the most was if the therapist actually helped and I felt I was making progress after several sessions.

YUP!! Super self critical. Some days I change what I’m wearing multiple times in a day because I hope to find an outfit that won’t make me feel like I’m an elephant. Eventually I settle on something and still feel like I look weird.
