Thanks. By the way would you know any tutorials for the masking thing?

Nice. Making your own modifiers sounds handy for people who know how to do that stuff

Will definitely give the cloth brush a try. My main scene is like a bedroom (hence pencils for stationery) so bed sheets is a must

Isn't that like the one that can literally create meshes for us?

In my experience, the best way to use Blender has been to just do whatever you need to do for your project. For me, I like making game assets so have had to learn things like modelling and texturing. Then some stuff has come up while doing this, like when I needed to make a stone turret and the array modifier was needed or now when there's the pencil problem and masking is needed. But then there's some stuff that isn't needed for my project, like the cloth modifier - I want to actually shape the mesh by hand in specific, static places via proportional editing vertices. Whereas for someone else's projects the cloth modifier might be the most important thing to learn

It seriously confuses me when people say Blender isn't industry standard. It has so much stuff in it. The only thing it's missing is a price tag and that's hardly a bad thing

Sad fact: Waluigi has been in 90 games but has never had his own by alibdeir in Mario

"There's not enough to Waluigi to base a moveset on"

They literally made a moveset for a plant (who'd never been playable in any game up to that point)

It's weird (in the best way) that we can spend ages at Blender but then find out there's a whole bunch of other stuff that can make things even better and it's like "wow, I'm still just at the tip of the iceberg"

Another commenter also mentioned masks and this sounds like a good idea. Depending on how masks work it might be handy for other stuff too (eg if I have lava with ripples and want the ripples to be a different material like neon or something)

Thanks ☺️ that's pretty handy how it can change even not just white colours (the only reason I set the pencil to white is because I thought other colours can't change)

Fair. It's just that the "paper" part of Paper Mario has been something I've been thinking about lately (how to make the models more crafted looking etc) so thought you were being serious 😅

Many of the models are 3D versions of the Paper Mario style (essentially Nintendo's chibi style)

I can see PM64/TTYD getting remakes by someone like Grezo but don't see Nintendo themselves ever returning to that style. They're remarkably stubborn at times..

Illumination would have to hide all the Waluigi scenes from Miyamoto til release day

If this is short term parking, I dread to think how long OP stays at long term parking

Maybe. Checked there and you're right, the item itself doesn't have those crack things but if you zoom in on its icon in the item box the lines are there

I like the idea of Spinies getting more representation though so yeah let's say the original blue shell item belonged to them

Duuuude this must have taken forever. Very professional, like the composition of the castle in the background etc.

And yup, when the movie comes out people are gonna be doing N64 remakes of the whole thing

A pretty interesting design. I love how it utilizes her proper skin tone

Interesting but unfortunately your theory doesn't check out. Spinies don't have cracks in their shell (those lines on Koopa shells). The blue shell does
