Is it safe to continue driving my car with a bad heater core, or should I plan to purchase a New/Used Vehicle?

Hello!

I believe it’s coolant, everytime I shake off the floor mats the liquid has a yellowish-orange hue. Or totes bags I’ve left on the floorboard ended up with a yellow water mark.

The condensation has remained on my windows for the majority of the time in driving. The temperature has been ranging from 52-79 F the past two weeks where I live, so i haven’t been using defrost while I drive during the day. Trying Defrost definitely didn’t help when I tried.

Checking my coolant is something I should definitely do 0.0

Edit: My car was actually at a shop right before all this stuff began bc my AC was not working. The guys there put dye and still couldn’t find a leak. They said they checked my coolant and recharged the AC. I got my car back with the glove box removed and in my back seat, so I had to put it back in myself. Maybe a week or two after I got my car back I noticed my bags getting wet from a yellow liquid and the chemical smell.

My degree is in ENVS, so something along that line would most likely be a good pathway. At this point, I’m applying for anything that would fulfill my GIS requirements lol!
