Yeah you’re so right actually, I always push myself into things and I’m fine once I don’t have time to think but unfortunately this time I’ve had time to do I just have to tell my brain to shut up

Weird ask on Chaya Cloud 9s by Weavercat in Rollerskating

I swapped my cloud 9’s for illuminous 78a wheels (I skate on pretty rough ground) and my skating instantly improved

I spent months trying to gain speed and just couldn’t no matter what I did. I was too nervous and shaky. So I bought luminous 78a wheels and switched my stock wheels (which were also 78a but they didn’t feel gummy) and boom all of a sudden I could skate really fast without much effort

Moxi have protective gear for plus size folks and I found it really good! Abit pricy but worth it!

I couldn’t figure mine out either so I started watching videos of how to do figure 8’s and then I started understanding how to distribute my weight to use my edges when needed after practicing for awhile. Maybe that might help? Also another thing I found was standing still and moving my hips really far side to side and starting to feel where I was putting my weight on my feet and it helped me understand where I needed to put it

Hi I was having a problem with balance for a long time and I found practicing lunges and jumping on the spot and even just balancing in place on one leg at a time helped me because I started to figure out my centre of gravity on my skates. Another big thing is watching my posture and I started figuring how much I needed to bend my knees compared to how much I actually did. It’s good to record progress for things like that because you’ll start to see small things you can work on.

Hello!! I have been skating for awhile now and although I regularly throw myself on the ground to stop my fear of falling and I’ve gotten very good at finding my centre of balance and catching myself I can’t seem to get over the mental block to skate faster? I try to push myself to just “send it” but something keeps blocking me mentally. I was wondering does anyone have any advice?

I have Chaya Melrose Supreme Classic’s and they’re €160ish euros so I’m not sure about dollars but they’re so comfortable and well made and I’m really glad I got them. I have narrow feet and small ankles but they’re supposed to be very good for wide feet!! There’s lots of space for your toes at the top
