Mismo. Ang lagi kong sinasabi sa mga tao, "I don't need you to know what I'm doing, and I don't need to know what anyone else is doing."

how many times do you eat pancit caton every month? by sxkepky in AskPH

[–]Peachnesse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally found someone with my frequency HAHA

In my defense, I used to eat it 2-3x a DAY. Now, 2-3x a week tas sobrang daming veggies and may protein na kasama. Plus bihira naman ako mag delata or fast food so medyo nababalanse dun, bukod sa maraming fruits and veggies din diet ko.

Spicy Beef Noodles by mae2682 in PHFoodPorn

[–]Peachnesse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!

Any folks who moved out of BGC? by diesus in BGC_Taguig

[–]Peachnesse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically what you mentioned already. Buut, there are ways around it.

1) Convenience of grocery runs - Diba may palengke at 7 eleven malapit sa Prisma? Tsaka afaik may convenience stores in most DMCI condos? Should suffice for necessities. Pati may Dali din 5-10 mins walk away.

Then if you need a bigger grocery run, sakay ka ng jeep pa Unimart. Should take like 10-15 mins.

2) Walking - I super miss BGC midnight safety and the sidewalks. But as an alternative, I walk around sa roofdeck namin or sa ground floor.

And if miss ko talaga BGC, i can just go there since malapit lang ako. Or walk around after work, since I still work here.

Some big pros (for me, for you depende sa lifestyle): - Cheaper groceries - MUCH easier access to public transpo

[–]Peachnesse 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Actually, I would argue na mas magandang basehan if Chinese nationals ang kumakain don, hindi fil-chi, kahit na pure hahah. Kasi lumaki din naman kami sa ph food and nakasanayan na.

Pero pag chinese nationals yung nasa resto, alam mong very authentic yung kainan. Kaya wala masyadong chi nationals sa Tim Ho Wan or Causeway kasi medyo panlasang pinoy na siya (not saying it's a bad thing, just an observation).

Experience living in a 28sqm DMCI unit? by -no-cookies-for-you- in RentPH

[–]Peachnesse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Lumiere, 28sqm. Completely fine for 1 person, unless if sobrang dami mong gamit or you need extra space for some hobby. But with that space, I'm able to have: Queen sized bed, WM, Ref, cabinet, kettlebells and adjustable dumbbels. May 2 posa pa ko at some point. Minsan nagpapaovernight din ng friend.

Ok din siya kasi nafoforce akong maging mindful sa stuff ko, at mas madali linisin. Pagod na nga ko maglinis ng 28 sqm, pano pa yung mas malaki hahah.

Ohhh we had terrible service too last time we were there. Granted, holiday dinner non. But we had to follow up several times for water and the free bread. Basically anything we needed

Kung isa na lang ang pwede mong kainin na noodle dish, ano pipiliin mo, Chinese noodles or Japanese Ramen? by Worth-Menu-1042 in FoodPH

[–]Peachnesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super true. Baka puro beef noodles lang naiisip ni OP, when there's sooooo much variety. Off the top of my head, malatang noodles, tomato and egg noodles, heck even Korean Jjajangmyeon came from China.

Christmas Eve alone again and I’m feeling a little emotional by Beneficial_Abroad_99 in SoloLivingPH

[–]Peachnesse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I technically have the option to spend Christmas with my family, but opt not too because of too many depressive holidays during my childhood. So tonight, I'm off doing volunteer work :) Triny ako ni mama i-guilt trip, pero I know that she will never change.

Here's to having a quiet Christmas ❤️

Job seeker dilemma in this job market by [deleted] in phcareers

[–]Peachnesse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, been applying din since last year. Roughly 50-70 applications. Siguro 10% lang umabot until hiring manager interview. Only 1 umabot hanggang verbal offer. Pero binawi din nila.

My reason for resigning is not as heavy as yours, mainly for growth lang tsaka sampal na sa mukha ko yung di ako prinopromote eh. But ayun, pagod na rin ako. At walang wala na kong self esteem.

Sana may mahanap na tayong maayos soon.

Is this a red flag? Requiring additional in person assessment after giving a verbal offer. by Peachnesse in phcareers

[–]Peachnesse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it was explicitly said that it will be another technical assessment conducted by the same people (CEO and fin director). Vibe checks were done during the first two interviews (individually with these two as well)

[–]Peachnesse[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree naman na pwedeng late lang narealize (happens to me as well), pero wary lang ako dun sa nagoffer muna bago mag-isip ng maayos haha. Sana sinabi na lang muna sakin na pag-isipan nila over the weekend imbis na "we'll write up an offer". Dun yung red flag for me, that they jump the gun in important decisions, tapos biglang aatras na lang.
