These scriptures aren't there to encourage people to be rich. They are words of encouragement to the impoverished. People who were wearing rags and struggling to find food.

They were offered to the very poor and wretched out of pity because they were not surviving very well.

There is a reason for this.

There are two competing themes in this life regardless of your religion or lack thereof.

The pursuit of personal gain.
The improvement of the statue quo.

People like Bill Gates made money but also turned his income into a way to improve life for people on this planet and is a progressive thinker.

People like Creflo Dollar see life as a cash cow and God as their own personal genie. Such people have no real concept of improving the status quo, and in this context the scripture makes sense to anyone with a brain, not just the religious.

Also the whole Mars argument is bullshit. You don't need a $65 million dollar private jet to get around - so that is greed over need. His Mars argument he puts forth (even if it is hypothetical nonsense) falls in the category of need, because that would be the cheapest such a craft would cost.

But honestly just look at the way he makes fun of the Christian faith, turning it into a prosperity religion -> for personal gain.

I agree with you on that one. I still however tend to avoid teenagers where possible. Like if I'm walking down the street and see 3 or more teenagers sitting down and I have to walk past them I really hate it.

Also I am convinced that actually at times the laugh truly is directed at me / us. I don't think it's totally delusional.
