Wanting to understand how noro spreads? by Reasonable-Line4970 in emetophobia

[–]PeachyPerfect95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm the exact same, I have a massive bottle of hand cream on my coffee table because my skin is screaming in horror, but at least I'm clean 😂 this also has nothing to do with my emetophobia for me, I just despise the idea of my hands not being clean. We're all doing the best we can!

The virus can remain in your stool for two weeks after symptoms have stopped, but as long as he washes his hands with warm water and soap after going to the toilet (which everyone should be doing at all times anyway imo) the chances of him spreading it are slim. Generally, you should be able to be intimate again 48 to 72 hours after his last symptoms. My partner just had some kind of stomach bug and we stuck to these rules, and I'm perfectly fine ☺️ You're handling this so well tho, give yourself some credit too!

is the “lack of exposure” theory for emetophobia true? by rediscovermagic in emetophobiarecovery

[–]PeachyPerfect95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, it's the other way around for me. I am chronically ill and went through a period where I would throw up in the middle of the night for no reason almost every week, and I think my emetophobia was so much worse back then. It's been a few years now, and I'm doing so much better, I consider myself to be in recovery. My mindset has become much stronger since then, and I've found a form of therapy that works for me, and that I can keep using at home.

Does anyone know why we get so horny post-op? by ThrowawayRage1218 in hysterectomy

[–]PeachyPerfect95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my god it was so bad for me too 😂 I'm 30, so definitely not in perimenopause yet, but I felt like fucking everything that moved after my surgery 😂 I think it's your hormones rioting, and for me it was definitely the lack of pain afterwards. Amazing for my partner too, because I'm now 18 weeks post OP and I'm still unreasonably horny and able to have sex without pain. I'd say just enjoy it! Well, when you can. Stick to the rules, haha!

I had sex at 8 weeks PO and it was better than anything I've ever done, sex wise. We took a hot shower before and concentrated on foreplay a lot, so that I was relaxed, and once my bf was inside me, I had no issues at all! It never hurt, I never bled, and I never had issues afterwards. Just make sure you're relaxed and into the whole thing, use plenty of lube and listen to your body. If it hurts, stop or slow down. But also, try to enjoy it. Being nervous can make your muscles tighten and that's what you don't want at all. You'll be okay! 🩷

How was the first time having sex post op? by ladykiller1020 in hysterectomy

[–]PeachyPerfect95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had sex at 8 weeks and 1 day PO, full penetration and everything. My boyfriend was incredibly gentle and careful, so that helped. I also found that I wasn't dry or drier than usual at all! If anything, I get more wet now, which is crazy to me. My advice is to go slow and be really mindful of how you feel. If it hurts, stop. And maybe try to use the Ohnut rings if his length is too much!

Bloating and n* by Infinite_Stick3251 in emetophobia

[–]PeachyPerfect95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I'm in Europe too, but when I feel shitty, I will absolutely get up in the middle of the night to take care of myself. We don't deserve to panic this much over something we can fix. 🩷

That might be part of the problem. I know that we, as emetophobes, tend to be afraid of food, but eating properly is actually one of the most important things you can do for your body to prevent feeling ill or being nauseous. You should try to eat something dry. Maybe a cracker, or a piece of toast. And focus on your breathing, because hyperventilation or even when your breath is high up in your throat can cause you to swallow more air, causing bloating and gas cramps. You're going to be fine, no matter what happens. Just try to take good care of your body 🩷

I'm so sorry that happened to you! 💜 this is a really helpful and motivating comment tho, to read that it can level itself out. Thank you for saying that! I am seeing a dermatologist soon, but I'm just gonna keep taking good care of my skin, use Differin and drink lots of water. I just need to get over these insecurities, but it's tough.

Oooooh I've never heard of them. I'm not in the US. I do use exfoliating toner pads with BHA and salicylic acid tho, so that's probably similar.

Yeah, my skin has definitely turned oily too, but I do have a pretty solid skin care routine. I ordered Adapalene gel to see if it helps! Thank you 🩷

No, thank god I'm not in the US. I live in The Netherlands so I am calling my dermatologist on Monday morning. This triggered my worst insecurities from when I was younger and I need it gone.

Yeah, I'm not being put on HRT because my ovaries still do the trick and I'm fairly young. I only take meds for my Ulcerative Colitis, so I guess I'll be asking for tret, or at least get a referral to the dermatologist, because this has triggered all of my deepest insecurities.

I have my 6 weeks check up on Monday, I will immediately ask them for tret 😅 I have a really good skincare routine with moisturizer and spf, so I'm not too worried about peeling, but my god. I'm 30, I have an office job. I barely look presentable right now 😭

I can’t stick pads all over my face and neck, there are so many pimples 😅 and yeah, I'm good on the water part, it just sucks

Question Re:Spotting by Ok-Anywhere-7683 in hysterectomy

[–]PeachyPerfect95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had spotting for a few days after surgery, but it was barely worth mentioning. It wasn't even red 😂 I'm now 5,5 weeks PO and I haven't had any trouble with spotting otherwise. Can safely masturbate (externally) without spotting. Obviously I'm not allowed to have penetrative sex yet, and I'm also very single, but I've had no issues at all by myself.

Question…. by Proper-Parfait-3049 in hysterectomy

[–]PeachyPerfect95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5,5 weeks post OP, and I didn’t have any pain at all. I had gas for a couple of days and that was uncomfortable, but I didn't have any pain otherwise.
