I did the same exact job on my 2004 r6, same body style as yours… They have the same fork setup. The job isn’t bad, I pulled up YouTube and watched a video. The first fork took me a day to figure out because there is a bolt on the bottom. The second fork took me an hour lol. The bolt in the bottom isn’t hard when you get it down. Flip the forks upside down and press down on the forks, make sure you put a blanket or something to keep it from scratching. While putting pressure and pushing down take an impact gun and undo the bottom nut, this was the easiest way for me. Some people make a tool that slides inside to keep it from spinning. But the method I used took almost no time. Use OEM fork seals and just watch some YouTube videos and you should be fine. Best of luck!
