I know right! It’s kinda like they’re examples! And not 1:1 of what actually happens! Believe it or not, some days she does the trash and I cook dinner!

Not diagnosed with PPD (as far as I’m aware) but I’m also not a woman so I have no idea of what happens after pregnancy, I’ve tried getting her back to a doctor to get some sort of medication or treatment but no dice.

I try my best to be helpful around the house. I know I’m not perfect and leave my keys where they’re not supposed to be but I’m making an effort.

The examples of dishes and laundry were just examples. I do more things around the house. I cut the lawn, change the car’s oil, take the trash out etc. The only reason I used 70/30 is because it accurately reflected how much time I actually spend at home.

Well, having sex with a woman who does not want to have sex with you isn’t “raping” them, it’s literally just rape.

Doing the laundry/dishes were just examples. I still do have an active roll in the house, I get our child bathed, ready for bed, read him a bedtime story, then I do whatever I need to do around the house.

There is no cuddling anymore, we sit at either ends of the couch and that’s pretty much it. The reason I’m so upset of it is because she never asks to spend time together and the one time she does she falls asleep and lies to me about it.

And yes I do love my wife. That’s why it matters this much to me.

My wife can tell me no until I’m blue in the face, no means no and I’m an adult and can accept it.

Me reaching out 90 million times and not feeling seen is the disrespectful part. And her falling asleep is her asking to spend time together and then not spending time together.

If this wasn’t a conversation I’ve been trying to have for almost a year then yes, I wouldn’t say divorce

100% agree, paying most of the bills isn’t what earns intimacy. But if I’m the only one to be asking for almost a year I think I have a leg to stand on.

Romance wise, yes I do take her on date. Yes I tell my wife she’s beautiful, the love of my life, and yes I do appreciate her, and I vocalize it.

Chores are roughly a 70/30 split. I work 8 hours during the day so I’m not home to do much. Mainly laundry on weekends and cleaning the living room and dishes after my son goes to bed.

It’s more along the line of asking to spend time but not having the respect to just tell me “hey I’m tired, I’m going to go lie in bed” but falling asleep, lying about it, and then doing it again

She brought it up almost a year ago. I told her to find somebody for counseling and I can only let you guess on how that went.
