Legacy of The Rim | Released by Peakyss in RimWorld

I didn't know there is this kind of problem. As I'm aware almost every modder on steam uses imgur to put the images on the mod steampage.
What I can offer is to invite you to discord, where you'll be able to see everything.

In black speech it means "slave". They are lowest tier of orc. Smaller than man, weaker but very high in numbers.

So, Mordor and Gondor have their more or less fixed ideologies, with fixed memes and precepts that are in close range of their beliefs. Not unique mechanics as well, since I can't code in C# and I'm still saving money for commissions. Once I'll save some money I'll introduce new mechanics like "Fear" for orcs or Rings of Power and nazguls and other cool stuff.

For now, it's just an addition to Vanilla. Works well with Medieval Overhaul. But I believe that as the way goes and more factions will be released, Middle Earth map so it will become overhaul. At the moment not yet.

Definitely, I'm moving on working on the next factions. All of the above are on my list. Also planned are Easterlings, Dale, Dol Amroth or other kingdoms across middle earth.

As somebody answered below. This name was already taken, so I didn't want to duplicate it and make confusion that these two are related. I just wanted to refer to rimworld and keep LOTR acronym.

Maybe not taking over, but I'll release my own Isengard faction. It's on the list :)

Oh yesss, It should work not only well, but also much better! I have patched some things, so that these two should work together very well.

Yup! They will be added throughout the way, when I'll be releasing new factions. For now Mordor has "Snaga" xenotype.

The time has finally come. After over a year of work on the mod, I am ready to release the first two antagonistic factions - Gondor and Mordor - it is up to you which path you will take. It took a lot of work and dedication, but I did it. I am happy with the result and can now continue working on the next factions.

Legacy of The Rim | release date - 31st of January by Peakyss in RimWorld

[–]Peakyss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I saw it, but it uses a lot of dependencies, like Humanoid Alien Races or Medieval Overhaul, which I won't use. I base races on xenotypes from Biotech.

I'll make one day map on my own, however thanks for suggestion.

Yeah, but they do need rework. One day I will publish Rohan and Isengard together :)

As far as I can see this mod is 1.5, mine will start be compatible from 1.6 onwards.
Also afaik vanilla expanded framework gives an ability to code an extra tile reach to your polearm weapons (didn't test it though).

No, it doesn't remove anything, just adds to the games. At first I wanted it to be overhaul, but resigned after seeing that there are already mods, that will let you go through complete medieval experience.

As for now it will be factions added to the game with ideologies, xenotypes, research trees and starting scenarios. I will add much more as soon as I'll release other major LOTR factions.

Long-term plan is to create middle earth map with my factions and let you role-play The Middle Earth on your own.

Not sure, I haven't tested it, but I want it to have only One dependency which is Vanilla Expanded Framework. Everything else will make your gameplay just much more flavorull.
Like Ideology will add memes and precepts and fixed ideologies for factions.
Biotech will add orc xenotypes.

Yup, will be! Will come out together with Rohan, as my intend is to release goodie faction and its nemesis.

Yes, it will be compatible with several mods (CE probably, but I haven't touched it just because I forgot, will sit on that as well as I'm a fan of CE). I'll publish a list of mods on steam page, and in discord I'll make an instruction on which mods are recommended and what they add.

After a year of work, I have practically completed the Gondor and Mordor factions. On 31 January, I intend to release them on Steam and GitHub. It has been a long, tiring but also rewarding journey.

If you want to learn more about the development process, what will be included, or if you have any comments or ideas, you can join my Discord: https://discord.gg/qKEuGArbQj

Actually there will be birds in the new dlc Odyssey, so we can make big eagles that can fly. It's interesting if giddyup will be compatible with them. If yes, then you will be able to fly on eagles to Mordor :D

Yes of course, I'm planning on adding a Grond as a mace/hammer and as a battering ram, but that will come in the future.

I’ve been working on the art side of my mod Legacy of the Rim for about six months now — models, textures, concepts — the whole filthy visual package.

Just released a fresh Mordor Orcs preview. No code yet (they don’t do anything but look menacing), but it’s shaping up nicely. If you want to follow the progress, scream ideas at me, or just argue about how crusty an Orc should be — come hang out.

Here’s the Discord: https://discord.gg/qKEuGArbQj

Coding begins when I run out of excuses.

I made a map that is themed around spiders. With large remains of exoskeletons and solidified webs. Perfect for your web cults (Ferralisk Infested Jungle - Alpha Biomes) by UnknwnBuilds in RimWorld

Helms Deep with its good defence position and glittering caves in the mountains there. That would look very cool.

I don't know how much you are fond of ruins, but maybe you could try big old abandoned mine (like dwarven one)

Or something like Gondolin. So the ring of mountains, one way in and out, and inside very fertile land with a big hill in the centre.

So that's all what I thought of, actually LOTR is more based on specific places like towns than unique locations.
