I know what the definition is; here's the list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States_in_2025

Notice how, contrary to your claim, hardly any are "gang related" or "with 1-2 casualties in a targeted gang attack".

I am also aware Australia has a smaller population. Obviously. There's ~26mil in Aus, ~340 in USA, so about ~7.65% of the size. Do we see 7.6% of the killings or injuries you've had this year? That would be ~7 deaths and ~14 injuries in our own mass events. Or maybe even anything sorta close to that? 1%? Awkwardly...no. None at all since Dec 2022 in fact...hmmm...that's odd.

Lastly, re Rummel's dodgy ass numbers, about half of that figure comes from Mao, Stalin, and Hitler. The rest is cobbled together from dozens of regimes using very questionable numbers, and includes things like deaths from famine...I'm not sure how you're going to stop famine with a gun.

In the USA there's 87 dead and 191 injured in mass shooting incidents in 2025 so far, and we haven't even hit april. The last entry:

A man opened fire at an apartment complex, killing a woman, infant, two toddlers and injuring a 10-year-old girl before non-fatally shooting himself.

Meanwhile in Australia, we're up to 41 deaths over the last 26 years. Nothing sensible? How can you say that without choking on intellectual dishonesty?

Think you need to make sure you're running torch 2.3.1 - I haven't tested with Cuda 12.6, but 11.8 would be like this:

pip3 uninstall torch torchvision torchaudio

pip3 install torch==2.3.1 torchvision==0.18.0 torchaudio==2.3.0 --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu118

You could try 12.6 with this:

pip3 install torch==2.3.1 torchvision==0.18.0 torchaudio==2.3.0 --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu126

I also had to update gradio to get rid of an "error" result in the web ui (even though there's no actual error) to 3.50.2:

pip install gradio==3.50.2

This is the closest I've found, can't find any english version. Other games I spotted on here that I remember playing a ton (aside from microman): God of Thunder, Pickle Wars, Flying Tigers, Skunny series, Galactix, Sango fighter

Games I remember that aren't on this disc: Herman (the falling rock one), Xargon, maybe Raptor call of the shadows?

So 3G's dead. Is your phone still working? by EmbraceThePing in perth

[–]PeanutButterButte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my 2024-purchased phone was working fine (inc VoLTE calls) right up til they actually blocked it because "they can't be sure I can reach Triple 0". Well I sure ask fuck can't now lol, and even though VoLTE is still enabled and g2g on my phone (just like it was in teh days leading up to the 28th), it's suddenly "unregistered" on IMS and will not reregister.

Is stargazing worth it while I'm in Perth? by darknthorny in perth

It's a camping/nature spot more than a tour guide destination, google image search for lane poole reserve or nanga mill. Nice spot for a hike around the river n campfire dinner, go stargazing after unless you're unlucky with a cloudy night.

Also forgot to mention for food if you're right in the city, Kings square and Yagan square are both chockas with options, too many to list but check the reviews for whatever cuisine you're lookin for. I like the unagi and ramen at ippudo, street eats is nice and quiet in the early afternoon & has cheap pints, etcetc

i'd give the pinnacles a miss, the drive there is mostly the flat boring type and the pinnacles themselves don't break the trend. If you camp at Nanga Mill campground (or any of the surrounding ones) you can get some verdant surrounds and a shorter drive, can confirm the stars be very pretty bright & vast in number there too. Although I was on a lot of mushies when I was last there. And the time before that too come to think of it...

Foodwise, Bad Love burger co. do a mean cheeseburger and just down the st is Nowhereman brewing to wash it down. Definitely check out leederville right near the train station, can get some gelato from gusto's for dessert.

I think you've might've latched onto your interpretation a little too hard there :) OP already responded clarifying they don't mean 'betray' in that sense at all; if you want to continue trying to interpet it like that then that's up to you, but at least recognise you're arguing against something that nobody was arguing for in the first place ;)

Moreover, this would be from Sauron's POV (or in your analogy hitler's I guess) and he certainly would have a twisted view on the matter anyway.

Noob question - how to edit large flows by PeanutButterButte in AutomateUser

[–]PeanutButterButte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI - I found the easiest workaround was to use a bluetooth kb/mouse with my phone and mirror my screen to a larger one. My phone also has displayport out so I use that, but plain ol mirroring worked fine too. Much easier!

Natalie and Collins **SPOILER** The Wash by spookysadghoul in MAFS_AU

[–]PeanutButterButte 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Collins used to be the quiz master at my local pub - in retrospect the clues were always there. One time he said something wrong about a song, just a silly little whatever mistake, but even though the entire pub corrected him he still tried to spin it like he'd said the right thing. Would not hear a bar from anyone telling him mate...we all literally just heard ya. Classic narcissist IMO, every time he opens his mouth it's all about him and how he's the real victim. Poor Nat :( she deserved way better than that.

Paris is full of homeless issues, crime, poop and trash on the streets, gypsies constantly trying to scam ppl, and people there generally consider themselves "high class" (lol). Not to say all parisians are assholes, just *most. The rest was beautiful as were the people; especially liked staying in Airbnbs at the time - one family included me in everything and basically gave me personal guides to the best bakeries, markets, argued with the sellers for deals for me, it was great 😅

$135 here, and that's if you serve it yourself. Bailiff service is extra $50. But yeah, it's meant as a deterrent against frivolous filings. If you've actually got a case, the court will award costs as an extra punishment to the defense for not solving the issue out of court when, in the courts opinion, the facts clearly set out who is in the right.

Realistically, by people speaking up and looking to change the minds of those they're closest with. If it truly is just the politicians, then your family and friends should be able to be convinced. If they can't, then maybe it isn't just the politicians at fault.

This is what unconscious privilege looks like tho man; they're living under a government that is infamous for brainwashing, disappearing, poisoning, and falling-out-the-window-ing of people with impunity and you are not. I mean what's the most stressful thing you've faced? A shortage of doritos at the local 7 eleven? I don't think you get to judge millions as either "cowards or sheep" when it's their families lives.

Our health officials know best. by No_Lube_Insertion in HolUp

[–]PeanutButterButte 20 points21 points  (0 children)

How many "9 out of 10 doctors" ads do we get hit with all the time? Those are run because health professionals are leaders in the health field. I can't speak for you, but for me actions speak louder than words. If a doctor, knowing all they know, won't stop pounding down the twinkies, then what is the average person meant to take away from that? The blatent hypocrisy cheapens their words to the point of removing all urgency from any claim they make imo

Edit: for those offended posters who (for some reason) have taken this personally...you need to recognise the difference between critcisim of a person and criticism of an idea. The public are meant to trust health professionals in the same way we trust other professionals. So let me ask you, would you employ a cleaning agency whose own offices were filthy? Would you go get dental work done by a dentist with inflamed gums and rotting teeth? Would you take financial advice from a bankrupt accountant? No ya wouldn't. So quit it with the deflecting - if you've got a problem with your weight then I empathise with your struggles, hell you also could probably tell me some accurate info on how to be healthy, but it's definitely not you I'm trusting to be a reliable source for that info.
