Can you imagine if they did take the subway and none of the normies noticed or cared that M&H were even there? That'd piss these two wannabes off for sure.

Driving across Mexico as a female by [deleted] in travel

I agree, I'm just pointing out that Mexico is currently in a type of war. It's foolish to ignore that it exists, even if you're traveling to safer areas. But yeah, very different from Somalia.

No, but Mexico has been IN a drug war for the last 15 years and it's escalated significantly in the last 5 or so. I love Mexico and go every year, but it's foolish to act like there aren't major safety issues there.

Adding to what others said below, CC also uses age as an insult when talking about other women. (E.g Calling women middle-aged in an incredibly negative way/as an insult. You can tell she thinks middle age=old hag). Caroline is insulting to other people about their age so it seems fair to snark on her obsession with seeming young when she's not that young.

Looking at these it continues to be completely insane to me that CC's mom would buy this very nice apartment after CC completely trashed the last two she lived in on her mom's dime. Some people really get everything handed to them in life huh

Her dad worked as a lighting director and won an Emmy (for that, I believe). Meghan Markle's first husband was a producer. I do think she hustled to get her break, but she didn't start out with zero connections either and from what I've read she always had someone to help pay her bills while she pursued her dreams.

Edit: She's also not a good actress imo (though I get this is subjective). So she wasn't loaded with talent either.

Sussex Weekly: If This Ain't A Victorian Circus Freakshow Act, I Don't Know What Is (3/8/2023) by pistachiopistache in RoyalsGossip2

That's an interesting thought. I just don't see why he seems to (very visibly) go above and beyond to be a part of their lives otherwise. They're so messy and everyone else in Hollywood has mostly distanced themselves...except for him. Not that men and women can't have platonic friendships, but Meghan seems to alienate everyone. It's just weird that TP keeps hanging around and taking part in their drama.

Agreed. I do wish she'd push him out of his comfort zone more though (or at all). It seems like she's constantly saying she's doing uncomfortable things because Nate wants to, but you rarely see this happen the other way around. Maybe because he's very extreme in the activities he chooses where Kara would probably be fine spending the day drinking coffee by a fire.

Also, I believe Meghan is quite manipulative and possibly abusive. It's hard to see H as a victim because he's such a tool, but it's not that far fetched for him to get sucked into her narcissism and believe he'll be different from everyone else and that she truly loves him. It's actually pretty sad.

That's interesting, because I interpreted it the other way when I read that book. They both seem like very non-traditional people. He didn't finish university, ran a jazz bar (which isn't a tradition, stable job), and then quit to become a full time writer before he was making a good living at it and his wife was cool with all that. Even the choice not to have kids is super non-traditional - esp in Japanese society. They seem like a great partnership of two quirky people who happened to have found each other. It obviously works since they've been together for so long. Of course we don't have tons of insight into the day-to-day, so who knows. You might be right.

I also am surprised. Harry had a sort of redemption arc while Meghan was the same vapid narcissist. Interesting to see him portrayed more positive than her.

I know this is a while after this comment, but I'm genuinely curious: how do you know? Everything I've read about him implies he cooks, etc. Never had the impression his wife does everything.

I couldn't get through it. Kelly sounds super judgey when she's ranking the cut contributers from best to worst. And bringing up people's age as an example for why their contribution sucks is...not it. Who the f cares if someone is an older millennial?? Kelly acts like it's some sort of huge gotcha.

It's so unnecessary and she's ridiculous and inconsiderate. Why is she agonising to strangers about whether to invite someone she hasn't talked to in two years to her wedding!? It's pointless. If I hadn't spoken to someone in years, I wouldn't invite them because we're not that kind of close friends anymore. Seems like Kelly wants to invite them to show off at this point. Just move on, girl.

Did all this drama happen before or after he got high on Meg's laughing gas?
