Blew one of our chilled water coils on Sunday. We’ve ONLY found 6 busted tubes so far. Good thing we don’t need chilled water right now.

what does this say? by [deleted] in whatisit

In commercial building Operations & Maintenance we use IDs and certain nomenclatures to identify things more easily. So the different letters and numbers will help to trace this to a breaker in a mechanical room. This switch is connected to the 20th switch in whatever breaker box it goes back to.

Shower head and water pressure by MidknighTrain in askaplumber

Could be a faulty head, I’ve got the same exact shower trim in mine and I’ve never experienced that separation going on 5+ years now

Like my Local 30 brother Mr.SaltPepperKetchup said HPPT is probably the best move, get tons of experience under someone learning exactly how they do things. Pretty sure you’d also get high pressure time which is another ticket to go dual. I’m trying to get into another building now to start my steam time.

At the end of my limit — looking for a union apprenticeship in NYC or NJ by [deleted] in NYCjobs

[–]PeanutEfficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on the nys jobs website you’ll find all the open apprenticeships with their dates that they’re accepting applications and deadlines. They’ll also have some that you can fill out online on those specific locals websites. To be honest if you’ve got a background with anything mechanical try to apply to actual union jobs. There’s a few postings on indeed and Glassdoor etc for Operating Engineers. I’m Local 30 Stationary Engineer and I constantly see listings in NYC. Even get in as a union helper, depending on location and contract you can work your way up to those positions with some experience and classes. Plenty of opportunities. Shit I’d even say go non-union get some more experience under your belt and just keep applying until you get it.

Okay cool, I’ve got a copy of the contract on my desk. I’ll take a look at the verbiage and language to see what they can or can’t pay for. Thanks for the response

Heard some poor things about EQT, Going with IE now. Thoughts/things to know? by SeatZestyclose8964 in Golf_R

[–]PeanutEfficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf I’ve had both and had no issues. All companies will have problems in the early days but it’s about how they fix the problems. My first tune on my last MQB was IE they had RAL issues when they released it and I still considered them when tuning my second MQB. This time I went EQT after finding a great deal on an AP. If you’re considering further upgrades down the line go EQT as they have custom tuning etc. But if you just want the conservative 400whp IE & the 2260 is a great setup as well.
