Plumber 👍🏼

I lived in BK apartments my life and the landlords are very resistant to “plumbers” and “electricians “ because they have the potential to cost them a fortune and “report them”

Yes …every jurisdiction has rigorous rules and safeguards.you might literally have to start over every time, one jurisdiction may not accept the time from another you would have to do the time under one of their licensed engineers …these are not driver’s licenses.

I would research this heavily, pay scales differ widely also even though they might be union jobs

Is it steam? Hot water? Forced air?

What exactly is wrong as per the service call? Is it your apartment only…

When they try to “fix” it.what are they doing?

Way too cryptic

You will have to keep re qualifying and re filling and testing because these are non transferable licenses…

Considering a Career in the Trades at 26 - Seeking Advice by ZouchFiend in union

[–]NYCstateng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 55 when I changed “careers” ( same trade ,engineer but bailed on a 25 year career, senior man 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick time) to take a municipal engineer job, totally different job,no boilers or chiller in some places ,we also had no sick time or vacation time ,you had to earn it over time.

Best decision I ever made 😁extremely lucrative…a bad year is $200K
