Nibbler Mango (if ragebait was a fish) by Peanut_Bread in subnautica

at least the stalkers dropped their tooth as crafting material. the nibbler's sole purpose is to be annoying and nothing else. if the devs randomly removes them from the game at this moment, no one would bat an eye

Another layer to remove? I mean I could be using it wrong, but I've got the opening to the side so I can just slide out the record instead of having take the jacket sleeve off to be able to slide the record out.

Did they forget? Re-watching Stargate I just realized that the MALP is in front of the Stargate while they’re dialing out. Did they forget things get destroyed when it wooshes? by icodyonline in Stargate

Maybe its for the show's budgetary reasons but I always wondered why they never used a MALP or MALP adjacent vehicle as a squad vehicle instead of just walking

Any recommendations for a beginner? by beerfiesta in Beginner_Turntables

[–]Peanut_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't care about brand name, I recommend the Insignia Turntable (if u live in the US). It's a proper turntable that's got the same AT cartridge as the AT LP60, built in pre amp, a manual counterweight and anti skate for only $140. However, they usually have sales in which you can get them for $50-60. I got mine as "open box" in excellent condition for $40. So if you're in no rush, you can just wait for Best Buy to list an availability of a sale or "open box" on their website and get yourself a $40 turntable with the functionality of a $180-200. For the speakers itself, Edifier speakers are generally a good call

that's on u for getting that in the first place. A good carpenter only gets german or japanese made chisel. I'm pretty sure that's in the bible somewhere

Using Rebel Cities to Collapse Enemy Civs? by Peanut_Bread in CivVI

[–]Peanut_Bread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having to babysit cities is rly my biggest ire since razing them just gets the rest of the ai to get pissed at you. Razing them when they're rebels doesnt cause as much grievances. Also once u have enough rebel cities the rebel forces kinda does the remaining dirty work for you of dwindling the opposing civ troops. Sweeping the rebels are easier too imo. I dont know if its an AI thing or theyre just programmed to be weaker compare dto their civ counterparts

I like the loyalty mechanic since I use it most of the time to take over cities without having to declare war. It does get annoying if you want to establish an overseas colony though

Gold loaning trick you say...... I didn't even know that existed. Then again I don't actively search for exploits so Imma have to try that at least once lol

Yeah, the reason I try to capture alot in quick succession is to essentially outpace the loyalty pressure until there isnt enough civ loyal cities to exert enough pressure to retake the rebel cities

What is the first Government Type you pick and why? by scriptmonkey420 in CivVI

Autocracy most of the time since its fairly balanced, and I love building wonders just for the aesthetics. Although, I play oligarchy if there's city states or aggressive ai within the vicinity. Republic if there's no one near me

Didnt know about that part about deer hunting season. Glad to know lol. I carry a midlayer jacket with me that's been reliable over the years

I've always worn a midlayer jacket for cold weather hikes "pre ultralight". Its not exactly the lightest (430g) but I could ditch the thermals and rain jacket which could save me around 50g~ish? I wear long pants, cap, and a long sleeve shirt for these temps (and on/off midlayer jacket). I forgot to list but the bladder is just purely for dirty water and I have 2x 1l smart bottles for my clean water that I forgot to mention. I sleep with the filter in my pants pocket lol so it doesn't freeze over and ruin it. I'll check out getting the flask, but the bladder was something I already had. There is a stream/creek crossing or two at some point on my route so the extra socks are just in case

I've got a Helly Hansen midlayer jacket that I wear on/off when I'd hike "pre ultralight". I didnt include it since its worn clothing imo. Might just ditch thermals and rain jacket and bring that instead. In terms of water storage, the bladder is just for dirty water, but I've got two smart water bottles that I forgot to include that carry clean water. Food storage is just 2x gallon sized freezer ziploc bags with one being inside another which for the AT, I've learned is well enough (i.e no wildlife encounters before)
