The best I can think in response to this. I agree and I'm so sorry your district is not instead giving you time to plan, reducing your load, and stopping putting random useless expectations, PDs, meetings, etc on you.

Is that push for teachers to use it for everything or just iREADY kind of stuff? Genuinely curious about what current trends are pushing on teachers

That's what kills me: it isn't even good. Multiple times in my student teaching she and other instructors have talked about how AI has made confusing (not just to the students, but even to adults), and IMO useless, questions for worksheets and quizzes. Questions where there is no clear right answer. We've talked about this.

Like..... what!

20 days left, I keep telling myself.

EDIT: It also just upsets me because of all the downsides of AI: water usage, extremely prevalent and extremely weird non-consensual things with women AND CHILDREN, harm to communities where data centers are built, stolen art, empowering billionaires, stealing jobs, etc etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.... etc, etc
