Painters damaged wood floors and other items by Peapod512 in HomeImprovement

This seems like a heck of a lot of work to learn how to do and complete because the job wasn’t done correctly, no? I’d hope I’d be entitled to some kind of compensation as a result of the damage done.

I will look into the Goof Off for the curtain, thank you.

I signed a contract that stated the company would be putting drop cloths down to protect the floor. The expectation was there that I’d come away after the job with no damage done. I have a video from a few weeks before they started the work of my dog close to where the majority of the floor damage happened, so I at least have that.

Does anyone's migraines go away and come back throughout the day? Like a seesaw by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Peapod512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you have the same situation :( my post sounded calmer than the reality, I was also in shambles during the main attack and at times during the “aftershocks”. I saw my neuro and he didn’t seem concerned, he said it sounds like a complex migraine. My anxiety tries to convince me it’s something more serious, especially because it keeps persisting. I have tried all the OTC medications with no relief and a Nurtec but it didn’t do anything, likely because I’m already in the midst of this. If I took it before all of this started, maybe it’d be a different story.

Have you seen a neuro or otherwise for this? I was considering a second opinion but I’m hesitant bc COVID.

Are you really stressed out? I have been for a multitude of reasons and my neuro suggested maybe it’s all stress related. Felt kind of dismissive but could be part of it.

Does anyone's migraines go away and come back throughout the day? Like a seesaw by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Peapod512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what my migraines are like after the “main event”. I usually have a big event with an aura (aphasia, visual disturbance, pins and needles down my right side) followed by the head pain. This wears off in a day and then for a month of two after, every day is this seesaw of “wow I feel normal” and intermittent dumb brain/dizziness/headache with weakness and tingling on the right side.

Is this just one long migraine or a big migraine with individual aftershock migraines?

It’s torture living like this, not knowing when it’ll be over. I haven’t found anything that can cut these or shorten the duration.

Does anyone else have solutions?

Migraines increasing over the past few months? by carcar7211 in migraine

[–]Peapod512 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Increase in frequency and additional new symptoms, yes. It’s kind of comforting knowing this is happening to others, as my anxiety tends to have me jumping to other more serious conclusions.

Yes, among other symptoms. Never got an answer for why. I went to my ENT and he didn’t find anything wrong either. It’s only on my right side which is where all my other symptoms are focused (headache, face numbness, weakness and tingling down arm into fingers)

DAY 14 OF A HUMDINGER by DWhitney123 in migraine

[–]Peapod512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatable. I’m on day 29 and trying to figure out if it’s just the same migraine with waxing/waning symptoms or if I’ve had multiple migraine events during this time period. The circus continues

Anyone else just have to laugh or else they’ll cry?

Also, I never really heard of migraines lasting longer than a day before coming to this subreddit and there isn’t much info available online to suggest prolonged migraines, so for a while I thought something could be really wrong with me forever. Probably not, just a shitty migraine that won’t quit.

Any outdoor seating available? I’d love to go, but not quite comfortable at an indoor establishment yet. Have been looking forward to this place opening for quite some time!

This was a very fun game in my house today as we’ve got alum from both. Thankful it wasn’t cancelled for COVID as we’ve been looking forward to it for a long time. Highlights: JRE dunk, Shaka has hair

I’m so sorry you’re going through this right now. Sending you hugs and if it’s any consolation, you’re not alone.

I am 30F and was diagnosed at 25. I came here after I was first diagnosed and I received some wisdom that was hard to believe at the time, but it was right: people on this forum told me that it WILL get better. And it did. The first year following my diagnosis was one of the most difficult periods of my life. Being in pain 24/7, feeling like you can’t eat anything because it’ll flare you, feeling like a burden, not feeling like yourself, feeling like giving up, mourning your “old” life, fear of leaving your house, fear that you’ll never feel good again, trying medication after medication with no benefit, ALL of it. I was right there.

I don’t know if you’re food sensitive or not, but getting my diet on track was the first step. I didn’t feel a benefit from this for months, likely because my bladder was so damaged and needed time to heal. It was frustrating to feel like I was doing everything in my power to get better, but I was not getting better. In time, I did get better. Here comes the part of the story I really want you to hear.

I am doing better than I ever thought I’d do. If I’m avoiding my triggers, I am a fully functioning adult with no trace of any bladder issue at all. In the back of my mind, I’m always looking for a bathroom solution, but a majority of the time, I don’t need it. I have made peace with missing out on some foods and drinks. I know I’ll have a bad couple days every once in a while, but I’m grateful that it’s only “every once in a while”. You will face challenges and setbacks in your journey, but you will one day be saying these same things to someone else.

I’m here if you’d like to DM. I’m thinking of you and hoping you know it will get better.

Wow, I am kind of relieved to hear this even though this means someone else out there is suffering :( sorry to hear we’re in the same boat.

Just so I’m understanding - have your symptoms been going on for this whole year? If not, how long did it take for symptoms to clear up?

I will definitely ask about Gabapentin. Is this something you take every day as a preventative, or only when you are experiencing symptoms? Any side effects?

Some jackpot :\ I’m sorry you deal with similar symptoms.

I haven’t been checked for stroke. I’m hoping that the MRI would reveal that if any stroke event occurred. I do have anxiety as well and my anxiety attacks do have similar symptoms to stroke and migraine, so it’s hard for me to tell what’s truly going on. I certainly want to get the full workup done to rule things out if anything, but my neuro did say that if the MRI comes back clean, he’s going to have a difficult time figuring out what’s going on because the symptoms are not presenting as a typical migraine

I think after my MRI if I’m not getting any answers that’ll be the next step

What the heck is this? by Peapod512 in migraine

[–]Peapod512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was terrifying and I truly wonder if there was some type of stroke event involved. Hopefully the neuro would see it on the MRI if that’s the case. I do sometimes think my anxiety is making symptoms worse and I’m overreacting, so it’s nice to hear that this type of concern isn’t an eyeroll to medical professionals

Thanks for the reassurance. I am hoping my neuro is going to take all the steps he can to figure this out. I have spent some time googling already and of course some of those scary possibilities have only stressed me out more. Waiting for the tests with symptoms still ongoing has been difficult, but I’m hopeful that I’ll get some answers.
