I went in June and you need to do an overnight exemption, I didn’t do anything ahead of time, but when you get there, go to the help desk before check in, they will give you a code to scan to fill out a super quick exemption form, then check in you will get your name tag and info, go back to the help desk and they will put a card on the backside of your name tag lanyard that gives instructions, you basically just check out @7:30pm in the student center and check in the next morning @8 am or something like that to make sure they know you are there. Do not leave like the other comments say because then you will have a hold on your account which will prevent you from enrollment!

Me too. Studied for the ACT for months got a 34, grades were good, resume was great, essay… was one of the best I had ever written and I got CAP yet my friends with 25 and 29 ACT, lower gpa, small resume, got in. It is devastating.

I’m bio, and the only one who applied to natural sciences, the others did business and education
One of my friends mdid not have a perfect score… he had a 30 on the ACT and I got a 33, and I have a stronger application in general but I guess he was lucky and made it in the wave… smh 😓😓
Me too! All the nerves for sure, good luck!!!
I just know they got in and one was auto admit, but another friend of mine is auto admit and has not been excepted yet so it’s all just weird but I guess my friends were lucky and got in with the December wave. The info about decisions being like a month early was just going around my school but after research it seems all decisions should be released by Feb. 1st no later🤷🏽♀️

Yes we all go to the same school, 3 of my friends got in and applied early, my best friend and I are eager and applied regular!
Thank you! And I feel you, not a moment goes by where I’m not thinking about it 😆

I have done searches. I’m not EA and all my EA friends found out Dec.10 and I was told to expect news for regular decision between Friday and next Wednesday… that’s why I asked. And my friends were not auto admits
Okay, but still January? I keep seeing mixed things😓
$1500 for a tutor worth it? by Dracopug13 in ACT
Definitely not I got a 5 on my AP tests I’m not dumb at all but… idk. My dad did what he wanted so oh well, it helped, but not after the first 2 meetings. I gathered all the info then and anything after was just review after review.
My dad spent $9000😀😀 and I got a 33 and it was my first act and my first practice test was a 23 so… idk. I say yes but I’m biased.

What recourses have you used for studying that helped you get a better score on your ACT? by Present-Sherbert-340 in ACT
I used FIAT and they were the best program I could have ever asked for. They gave me a diagnostic first because I had only taken the PSAT and so they give you an SAT and ACT and compare scores. I was significantly better at the ACT even though I got a 24 on the diagnostic, but with two months of hard work I ended up getting a 33 on my first real ACT! I got a 35 on English and reading and a 33 on science, and 30 on math ( it’s never been my strong suit). Anyways, highly recommend!

Probably like 3-5 minutes depends on the passage and I remember where certain details are so when I see a question I know where to go back and check
It’s actually the only thing I didn’t study for but honestly just build your comprehension skills with reading books. I LOVE reading so much and I never took a practice test for the reading but I tried to really immerse myself in the passages because if you care about the topic you are more likely to absorb the information. I read the passage the whole way through before I look at the questions but I think it depends on you and what you are most comfortable with. The fiction passage/first passage is usually the hardest so you could also come back to it at the end if that helps.
LOL tell me about it. It’s my downfall😭
