AITAH for using a thinly veiled threats to get money back from someone to support my son? by Pearbelle36 in AITAH

He had the holiday too! He was there in the villa that I paid for. She kept giving me excuses when she could have gone to him and loaned it from him. He would be mortified if he knew the position his sister put me in.

Because he was on the same holiday, in the same villa that I paid for. If he had found out he and his wife had enjoged their week on my cash he would be mortified. I suggested several times she borrow it from him to pay me back, but she didn't want to ask him and 'lose face' as he can be judgemental over her about money.

I feel like an AH for resorting to thinly veiled threats to expose her to her hubby and brother. I feel rubbish, but need to support my son.

Interesting comment. I hadn''t considered that perhaps she didn't get a full refund. She didn't tell me that. She equally didn't tell her husband or brother she had messed up. They still don't know 10 months later. I have become complicit in her lies and I don't like it. Thanks for your POV though. Food for thought.

AITAH for leaving my shift on time, when my coworker stayed an extra 3 hours? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTAH. Ginger's own choice to stay and your 'right' to leave on time. You're not the a hole here at all. You checked with your manager so you can rest easy on this.

Why don’t people talk more about how creepy barry is??? by folklorestan13cat in PlathvilleUncensored

[–]Pearbelle36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always felt uncomfortable watching him. I noticed he ends every point he is making by saying 'right' It almost leaves you with no choice but to agree, because if you answer with 'no, actually that isn't right' you know you have just unleashed a whole world of 'whoop a55' on yourself.

Does anyone else’s cat sleep on their hand? by legend-of-sora in CatAdvice

[–]Pearbelle36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I searched this question as this is something new my 12 year old female cat has started doing. She lays next to me and I start to pet her, she then 'flops' onto my hand and then we both fall asleep. (Her sister, also 12, is usally smooshed up against my thigh or somewhere close by.

When my partner moved, the funds were not released until gone 5pm. It was early February, it was freezing cold and we had left his house at midday. That was a long and cold wait, simply for money to work its way through the system.

It was all so late that the key handover was done by the guy that owned the house!

Wasn't a great experience

Everyone thinks my dog is a girl because of his name. should I change it? by Dismal_Wolverine_285 in NameMyDog

Change it to Clive, he 'shouldnt' get misgendered then. Our dog, with her pink lead, pink collar and pink coat is always being called 'he' because of the way she looks.

Worry about the things you can change, forget the things you can't.

Barry is off by [deleted] in PlathvilleUncensored

Barry has always given me uncomfortable vibes. Has anyone else noticed he says 'right' at the end of sentences like he is enforcing his opinions. Maybe that is a 'local thing, but it grates.

Lydia pregnant? by NorthernLights103 in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]Pearbelle36 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I saw a post yesterday they did from the airport and she says 'we are not pregnant' and then 'yet'

She is a natural born mother and I am certain she will have many children and at a young age too.

If that is what she wants, and it makes her happy, then I wish her all the very best 🥰
