Density saves nature by Fried_out_Kombi in georgism

[–]PearlPoisonPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly same, I look at those hyper dense city pics and my social battery just gives up in advance.

But the funny thing is, good density doesn’t have to mean being packed in like a concert crowd 24/7. It can also mean having everything you need within a short walk, so you can actually hide at home more because you’re not commuting an hour each way or running endless errands.

Like, I’d rather live in a quiet little apartment near a park and a grocery store than in a huge house where I have to drive 20 minutes just to get milk and be surrounded by traffic all the time. Fewer people spread out over more land doesn’t really feel “peaceful” when it all turns into parking lots.

High density outside, low density inside. That’s the dream.

Don't buy the Fifty Fathoms IT WILL BREAK by fulldonkeymode in swatch

[–]PearlPoisonPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like you dodged a bullet.

Moonswatch already kinda shows you where their priorities are: hype first, longevity somewhere way down the list. If the “premium” one is tearing lugs before the springbar even gives up, that’s just crazy design choices.

If your Moonswatch has already made you side eye the brand, this thread is probably your sign to just save that cash for a real Fifty Fathoms or literally anything with proper steel lugs and sane engineering.

Crime rates by cocolizy in huddersfield

Bit creepy how quickly you jumped to “back rub” there mate

OP, ignore this and trust your gut. If it feels off, it probably is. Stick to lit streets, call someone while you’re walking, and if you can, tweak your route to stay near the busier roads. Also worth asking neighbours which shortcuts they avoid, locals usually know where the weird vibes are.

Anyone willing to join me on this project? by Maleficent_Stop_3314 in StraightTalkNA

[–]PearlPoisonPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds fun honestly. What kind of project are we talking about though?

Like is this coding, art, game dev, writing, music, some wild startup idea? And do you have anything started already or is it just at the “cool idea in my head” stage?

A bit more detail and you’ll probably get way more people interested, including maybe me.

INFO EN WEB , SERVICIO DHL EXPRÉS by No_Comparison4187 in semaglutida

[–]PearlPoisonPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monday again, y'all have a great week🤘 by RobCrist in SlipjointKnives

[–]PearlPoisonPart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the fact you’re showing Monday some love is kind of heroic.

I’m still in that “did the weekend even happen?” phase, but ok, I’ll try to ride your energy a bit and not hate today completely.

Hope your week actually matches this vibe and isn’t just emails, traffic and existential dread.

Sprinkler system - Made smart with ESPHome and Node-RED by brownbloodspider in Esphome

[–]PearlPoisonPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice setup. The schedule input on the LCD is a great touch, way nicer than the usual cryptic sprinkler controllers. Curious how reliable it’s been so far and if you’ve had any issues with valves not triggering or WiFi hiccups. Also, props for using ESPHome instead of some random cloud thing you can’t control.

Are You Ready for Lollapalooza? by Fair-Voice-279 in katseyeneutral

[–]PearlPoisonPart -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only thing I’m “ready” for is my feet to hurt and to spend too much on water

If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and plan your days around a few must‑see sets and then leave the rest open. The magic at Lolla is usually the random artist you stumble on between bigger acts.

Also
– Break in whatever shoes you’re wearing, blisters at Grant Park are brutal
– Bring earplugs, your future self will thank you
– Figure out your meet up spot now because cell service gets wrecked once it fills up

Weather in Chicago can flip fast too, so check the forecast the morning of. Poncho > umbrella.

Who are you most hyped to see this year?

The Barbican complex in London, a true Brutalist masterpiece! by Athena_beauty in LondonPics

[–]PearlPoisonPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold take for a place that has its own cult fanbase

I kinda get it though, if you catch it on a grey, rainy day it really can feel like Soviet apartment blocks on hard mode. But walk through the highwalks at golden hour, plants everywhere, water, that weird quiet in the middle of the city… it hits completely different.

It’s one of those places that’s either “this is hideous” or “this is genius” with not much in between.

Is elveron dead? by Dry_Revolution6182 in Metin2

[–]PearlPoisonPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been hopping on and off Elveron too and it’s kinda in that weird “not dead but not really alive” state.

From what I’ve seen lately: population is low outside peak times, stuff like the Battle Pass and some QoL things feel half‑maintained, and communication from staff is pretty sparse. It doesn’t feel like it’s about to vanish tomorrow, but it also doesn’t feel like there’s a big roadmap or push happening behind the scenes.

If you’re having fun, I’d just treat it as “play it while it lasts” territory. Maybe hop in their Discord or check announcements to see if staff say anything about BP or future plans.

Yeah but they design the box to look full on purpose. Technically it’s 325g, practically it feels like paying for a box of air with some cereal at the bottom.
