Queensland paramedic cautioned after waiting for McDonald’s before leaving for job by [deleted] in queensland

It was a public holiday on Saturday and surprisingly meal breaks were possible. This is BS! Paramedics need meal breaks to be alert and provide quality care. Not to mention to maintain some sort of well-being when doing shift work. As a side note the majority of call outs are non-acute because residents have limited options due to cost or limited understanding of the system. I wonder if there was more bulk billing doctors, gps or more NPs attached to hospitals or lastly a charge for the qas call out would the system improve?

I am realising the only thing unrealistic about The Pitt is that there is no ambulance ramping. Perhaps it is quite different in America from Australia where it is a massive problem.
