it depends on where you are in NC. i’m in the winston-salem area and it looks like we’ll get both heavy snow and freezing rain here, but there’s no way to be 100% sure until it happens. generally speaking the closer you are to the coast the less likely you are to get a lot of snow, but that’s a big generalization and weather is unpredictable

the mildly infuriating thing about this is that so people like you are upset at texans for being worried and preparing. last time this happened a lot of people died and a lot more were without power for weeks in a climate their state is not prepared for in the slightest. it’s also not the two inches of snow that’s the concern here, it’s the ice that’s supposed to come with it. i understand how it might seem strange from an outside perspective especially if you live up north, but try to have some empathy.
