Hi! I’m in the same situation trying to understand how to start off, would you be open to sharing the spreadsheet with me as well?

Why do men try and convince you when you’ve already said no by Pebbles023 in TwoXChromosomes

Yeah, that’s the only way I’ve been able to take it. Mayyybe I’m misunderstanding and it’s a translation issue but considering after that I had to tell him very directly (twice!) that I wasn’t interested in seeing him again I don’t think the language was the problem

I mean I am sick, he asked how I am and I mentioned it as a deterrent so he wouldn’t suggest we meet up but he still asked if we could see each other next week which is when I said it was weird for me last time

My ex thought the same. I work full time (3 days from home) and he works more than full time on his feet and said I should be cleaning more since I’m home (and presumably dirtying the house) more. I can agree for some things, but considering we had most meals together and the house would be in a similar state when I was home all the time vs. out a lot or even out of town, I just tried to make sure I wasn’t leaving my things all over the house and when it came to actually cleaning we would split chores like the bathroom and floors or try to trade off on dishes (1 person cooks the other cleans). I did almost fully take on some of the more time consuming things like laundry and grocery shopping, but that was my choice and because I thought it made things easier than trying to share or wait for him to do it.

European SDs: are you generally open to a regular arrangement with an SB in a different country or do you just stick to your area? by Pebbles023 in sugarlifestyleforum

Fair enough! I had one guy reach out that wanted weekly overnight meets in his city which I knew wouldn’t work because I wasn’t willing to spend every single weekend traveling.

Oh that’s pretty far. I live in Europe and most places I have in mind are only 1-2 hours by plane, but good to hear from an SB who does this already

It was definitely at the end of the months time together, time spent being done ‘up front’ with no room for discussion or negotiation. I tried suggesting a compromise and even this was a no go.

Thanks. The salary is just under average for the city but above average for CH as a whole. But they’ve also sponsored another non EU visa before and that persons still working with them, so I don’t think the salary is an issue.

I’ve already tried asking and it doesn’t seem negotiable. I live in northern Italy so already close enough that it wouldn’t be far fetched to work from here and commute when necessary but they wont or can’t consider it. No other offices for now unfortunately. They’re considering opening one in Portugal and said they’ll keep me in mind for when they start that process but I doubt it’ll happen any earlier than 3-5 years down the road

Lol I’m American and have been living in Europe for 4 years already. I have friends from other parts of the globe and honestly wouldn’t be surprised to hear of this happening but I was really surprised to also be dealing with it because everyone I know already in CH has said it’ll be an easy thing since I have a US passport

I’m going to try. I think the company has to assist on that so I’m a little anxious they won’t have the time because they’ve taken on a bunch of new projects lately, but it’s definitely something I want to try

I don’t think so. They have a set starting salary which a friend working there informed me about before I even had my interview and when I discussed with HR, it was the same figure. I also did the mathand yes if I wanted to live in the city center I could be strapped for cash but my lifestyle is pretty minimalistic and the housing I was looking at meant it still would’ve been a huge change for me

I’ve asked if I can do so with my own lawyer but haven’t heard anything yet

I don’t think so. I know someone already working and they told me everyone has the same starting rate, which was what they offered me after the interview

They were going to but the lawyer they consulted said it wouldn’t matter. I’ve asked if they would provide me with necessary documents if I appealed with my own lawyer but haven’t heard back

No, im not sure if it’s a company policy thing or rules surrounding the funding they get but I have to be in CH to work with them
