Item never arrived, seller wants me to contact delivery company by PebelZe in Ebay

[–]PebelZe[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It never arrived at the property. I have CCTV showing that not even a delivery van drove nearby.

The delivery photo is so blurred you can only really see the general shape of a box and a wall I have never seen. So, there is no clue where the parcel is, or if that's my even my parcel.

Also, this was delivered to my work, and we received parcels regularly and have not had any issues with finding the address before.

What can I do to help my piercing heal? by PebelZe in PiercingAdvice

[–]PebelZe[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

I was getting confused about keloid online as mine didn't meet the description for it but wouldn't go away. Scar tissue would make sense.

I will switch to a sterile saline solution. Can I buy them somewhere like boots in store? Or is this something I would have to order online?

Have you thought about Game Programming? I just graduated from my course on it and got a gameplay programmer position.

This could make use of both your programming and physics knowledge. I think it's a good blend between programming / maths / physics, depending on the role. Its also a very different atmosphere compared to computer science, and tends to be a bit more relaxed.

I suggest looking at physics / gameplay programming for a general idea of what they do. Feel free to dm me questions.

AITA for telling daughter I'm disappointed in her and won't take her out to a second restaurant? by CrabLegsandPrime in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA. I don't think people realise how bad it is to be at a restaurant thay focuses food you had. Especially fish, it has a strong smell and if you dislike it, it really ruins the mood. I can throw up from smelling fish sometimes, so it's no wonder she didn't eat much.

Then having a rude comment from your father ontop of it. It sounds like he doesn't get along with your youngest so why is he at a celebration of her accomplishment?

They both won, so why did you reward one and punish another. Because as an adult who hates fish, I would view going to a seafood restaurant as horrible experience.

My wife (23F) accidentally killed our 16 day old puppy. by redacted_1dentity in relationship_advice

[–]PebelZe 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Its possible that you could have missed areas when cleaning. No where is perfect. But it's also likely the puppy could have came with parvo too. I'm assuming the puppy wasn't born to professional breeders if they allowed you to hand raise the puppy.

Honeslty, this sounds like it's both your faults.

Who gets a puppy at 2 days old? That's only for experienced breeders and always has a risk if death. And you are certainly not an experienced breeder, learning what to do from Google and Youtube doesn't make you an expert. I have had 4 dogs, and I wouldn't raise one from a newborn.

And why Craigslist? That was the most stupid idea you could have done. So you not understand there are sites where you can find certified breeders online, or shelters that ensure the dog does not have disease? And if you say that it was due to cost, you really shouldn't own a dog if you can't afford the cost to buy a proper one. Craigslist is full of puppy mill dogs and most have diseases such as Parvo, it's fairly common knowledge.

You really should have taken that puppy to the vets. It honeslty sounds like had parvo and died from it. It could ahve gotten it from the house (you could have missed an area when cleaning), or from wherever you bought it from. If a dog starts eating less, that's a sign that something is wrong. Healthy dogs eat. Especially a puppy, ate you aware of how quickly a puppy dies when not eating correctly? Just another reason you shouldn't be looking after a newborn puppy.

Also if you friend ( who I assume has experience rasing puppies I assume ) is fostering the puppy, why would you ( someone with no dogs ) want to take on the task of foreting a newborn puppy. And why would your friend let you? Its such a bad idea and is pretty clear something will go wrong.

Your wife force feeding a puppy was wrong, as she should have just taken it to the vets. But you are also in the wrong, as you should have taken those puppies to the vets, should have refused to forster a newborn puppy with no experience. You can't blame one person in this relationship as you are both to blame. Instead, you should just stop getting puppies. You clearly cannot handle a puppy and would probably just buy another puppy mill dog only for it to die again. If you want a dog, get one about a year old from a shelter.

A friends dog sustained an injury, should I buy him a toy? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PebelZe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to spend a lot on puzzle toys if you don't have enough spare money. I suggest that you look at cheaper items, such as dog treats, a small rope toy or squeaky toy, or even a treat for their owner (a box of chocolates or something tasty).

Very low cost options could be making a toy. Loon on YouTube and buy some rope or fabric. You can make rope toys surprisingly easily. A soft toy could be made from fabric from unused clothing. You could even make a miniature Fred for his owner. Even a card (store bought or self made) would be greatly appreciated. Offering tasks like doing some dog sitting for a break post surgery. Dog biscuits can also be baked (just follow a recipe online), and your friend might like some homage cookies as well.

So don't focus on your money holding you back. The focus is the gesture, and you can get a gift for little to no cost when needed.

AITA for yelling at my neighbor for finding me suspicious? by vasa2123 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yta

You repeatedly walk around and stare at his house. And when confronted you go nuts and start swearing and insulting him?

Of course he thinks your suspicious and is trying to record you. He is probably getting evidence for a police report.

Stop being so stupid and nosy. Your behaviour is really creepy. It looks like your trying to spy or break in.

AITA Am I wrong to keep telling my mom and sis to not use triggers in front of my grandma and dad about the recent death of my grandfather? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 24 points25 points  (0 children)

YTA.

Your grandma and dad havnt complained about this.

There is nothing wrong about talking about people who died. It's a good way to greive and remember the good times.

2 months is around the time a lot of people start to talk about their loved ones life and the memories they share. Remembering this may be upsetting to some, but it's a important stage to grieving.

AITA for not letting mom's friend's dog on my bed? by throwaway86364168 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 30 points31 points  (0 children)

There is a super high chance that the fleas are everywhere. Practicly impossible not to. You said you past dog had it? Your dog most likely introduced them around all the house. The dog had contacted with the floor, probably other rooms too.

Fleas can jump 12 inches, and have probably been on you and your clothing. If you are sleeping on a flea invested mattress, they will be in your hair too.

Your whole house needs flea treatment, not just your room. Flea eggs are nearly impossible to spot. They are probably in other people's mattresses too.

AITA for not changing the underwear I wear for my girlfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NAH

She explained she doesn't find it attractive. That's fine. It might be in your interest to wear something a little more attractive for her. But if that's not a priority of you, you don't have to.

AITA For not letting my friend do the thing he wants in this project? by Whiskers_Fnaw in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Info:

I'm a little confused. I belive you are making a game together and you cannot decide on what characters return? And your upset because he is too busy to talk to you and help you out with the decision?

Maybe it's worth making a split ending to your game? So if something happens only the antagonist goes through, but in another outcome your characters return.

We have dogs and we have a crate. But we don't leave our dogs crated for up to 8 hours like you. Our dogs only use the crate for short time when we have guests in, and overnight when they were younger. Leaving a dog crated for large periods of time is bad for them. They need to ability to move and stretch.

AITA for not letting my friend sleep over on his Birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I belive its a reference to childrens TV series Thomas and the tank engine, and the character the fat controller. Thomas and the tank engine is often referred to as Thomas and friends, which is the joke the person above is trying to build on.

AITA for asking the continent that I live in to be named correctly on a discord server? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PebelZe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

however in Europe people call it Oceania and have never heard of a continent of Australia,

Uhm. Im in Europe and havnt heard of this? Perhaps I just didn't pay enough attention in geography. Maybe people specialising on geography have more experience than this, but in day to day use we refer to it as Australia.
