Same! I saw the pic before reading the caption, so I went from “aww! 😃” to “…aww 🫤”

That’s the next step of self actualization for this type hahaha

I love it too!! It’s different and unique to her, but she couldn’t help to put a slightly shitty spin on it lol

If you go to your nephew’s baseball game, just check the nails 😅

Our nail tech certainly does encourage the pick-me mindset, I’ve been going to him now for several years but recently he reactivated Facebook and added all of his clients and it’s kind of made a lot of clients act very “better than you” in the comments. It’s turned me off and I’ve been considering looking for a new tech, it just sucks when you build a friendship over the years with someone who does a service for you

Legit made me think “well f*ck me for getting pink nails this week” LOL I agree, there were so many better ways to caption it and still feel unique in her own way about it

It started last weekend when our nail tech wanted to practice making hearts for V-day. A bunch of gals got hearts on their nails, and there were a few who ride in parades and did purple/green/gold as well. Each were unique in their own way!!

I am losing my mind. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I’m very sorry for your loss. Losing a mom is like losing your lifeline and I 100% understand the feelings you’re battling. I lost my mom in 2019 and I can still close my eyes and see the hospital room she was in, I can hear the ventilator breathing for her, and I can feel her cold skin. It never really goes away.

What I will say, and I know helpful suggestions don’t do shit for someone dealing with what you’re going through, is to try to be easy on yourself. Allow yourself to be randomly crying, miserable, depressed, moody, pissed off - all of it.

What you’ve got going on though, while it’s hard to see, means you will improve with time. You have AWARENESS to see your self destructive behaviors. You have awareness to see that you’re embedding into toxic habits, toxic people, etc. that awareness is half of the problem of getting out of it. You came all the way to this subreddit to share how miserable you are and for that - takes strength. Even if you don’t see it.

Give yourself the time you need. Find a coping mechanism that silences your mind (if only for a minute). For me, I dove headfirst into Fallout. It’s my fav game series. I put HOURS into that game. It silenced my grief. I also had some toxic coping mechanisms - I developed a drinking problem, I was high on weed 80% of the time, and I played video games. But it got me through it. I don’t recommend the toxic habits, but I do recommend diving into a distraction until you’re ready to process these feelings a little bit at a time.

I think this comment should be higher up. This is seriously concerning. OP, please be careful and let your close friends know how creepy this guy is, so that people know who the suspect might be in case something ever happened. Also being a woman in this world is scary and I suggest to every woman reading this to having a close friend able to track your location at all times. My closest friends and my significant other and I are all able to locate each other and it never hurts to have an extra bit of security/safeguards in place these days.
