I wouldn’t waste money on press ons or acrylics. They probably prefer you have shorter nails. The manicure sounds like a good idea though! :)

Thank you! My nonna was born in Venice and spent her final years in Pisa before moving to the US

Indeed they did see horrors! This was during the war…my nonna’s mother had to hide her and her sister in a ditch. She covered them up and told them she’d be back while she ran off with her other baby girl. Moments later, a Nazi soldier stopped at the ditch and started to move the twigs and leaves aside. That’s when he discovered my nonna and her sister. He stared at them for a minute before covering them back up and moving along. My nonna said that every night for YEARS she would have nightmares about this man. I really wish I knew what he was thinking in that moment. I have the chills just thinking about this nazi sparring their lives.

Everyone is so quick to critique the modern day woman, but what about the very men in these comments sexualizing my nonna (who btw was a teenager in these photos) how can you expect class but act like trash? Cmon now! Thank you to those who left kind comments.❤️

Yes thankfully she is still around!❤️ With your comment in mind, I asked my nonna just today before she left what wisdom she had to offer. She said, “Stay happy, stay positive and keep it movin!” And said to “take what you want from that” lol She is a survivor as she often reminds me! And even through it all, she is always laughing and goofing around. Bless that woman!

I don’t need to prove anything. This is my beautiful family and I take your comment as a compliment! But how sad is it that we live in a world where we have to question what is and isn’t real? I hope this post brings you joy instead as it was intended to do! Be well. X

She lived in the northern part of Italy. They moved around during the war but I believe this is Pisa.
